Feel free to move or re-direct if such a thread already exsists.
can people recommend good( or bad) horror films to watch?
I recently watched these and loved them!
The Babadook - creepy with a real old school horror feel afflicted - dont read up about this one just watch it, some great twists!

Drag Me To Hell was I think the most scared by a film I've ever been, I couldn't sleep for weeks! Don't know why but zombies/ghosts/murderers in films often don't frighten me, but anything to do with the Devil I find terrifying! Must be the lapsed-Catholic guilt The Exorcism of Emily Rose is another one I found extremely disturbing to watch. The original Evil Dead is probably the scariest zombie film I've ever seen - to the point that I didn't actually watch the ending!

My son who is watching a lot of current horror films, says he was scared by these the most, all the Insidious ones, both Purges and As above, so below. I'm watching Sinister 2 with him tomorrow as well. Nightmare on Elm Street was pretty scary first time around, not sure how well it has aged, but it's Old Skool, and so cool.

Silent Hill The Hills Have Eyes (original and remake are good) The Omen (original trilogy) Event Horizon - Sci Fi horror - awesome! Candyman - a must watch! Pan's Labyrinth - not particularly scary except one scene, but just a great film The Devil's Backbone

I recently Watched Human Centipede 3 My Review:
Ive been a big fan of this much reviled series and with this suposidely the final one I didnt hesitate to order it.
I wont give too much away but special effects wise and grossness this is by far the worst of the lot and it passed uncut unlike the 2nd one which is a surprise.
Its set in a prison and the main characters from both films are in it. I have to say I was a little dissapointed as it took nearly an hour to get going and I did find the main character a bit irratating.
Its filmed more like a comedy so if you watch it with that in mind you will probably enjoy it more.
Id give it a 6/10 probably purely for the OTT grossness of it, you will be shocked especially at the 'dream sequence' without giving it away!.

what we do in the shadows (2014)
this one came via lovefilm and I have to admit I didnt have very high expectations. I generally like my horrors scary and a bit dark.
This one is filmed as a documentary style a bit fly on the wall. and follows 3 vampires who struggke with the mundane stuff like paying bills and doing chores.
Its done very cleverly and was actually really funny and felt quite believeable. Its quite gory in places and I genuinely really loved the characters which is always important.
Definetly worth a watch 8/10

Human Centipede 2 is meant to be the sickest film ever made, I didn't know they were on Netflix, they weren't last time I looked.
