I'm staggered how anybody could think that dismal Sam Smith song which does not even utilize the title of the film was better than Radiohead making a deliberately commercial (for them) track for the Bond theme. Then again the same musical buffoons also rejected Lana Del Rey's submission "24" www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNOGpX-P6fo ; and Duran Duran's "What Are The Chances" www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bwrr-45n8kg for the same theme. Certainly all three are better than that dreadful sub-Adele Sam Smith track.

Its really good best song they have done in years, I hope this is a clue to the new album that they are returning to a more 'Ok Computer' sound.

I do like the Radiohead song, but I can totally see why they didn't use it in the film (well, not as the main theme anyway, I don't know whether the band were offered a lesser appearance and turned it down). The Broccolis always want a bankable star.

Amazing piece of work. Forever to be a lost classic in terms of Bond themes.

Don't sound James Bond enough to me but anything is better than Sam Smith

Can't stand Radiohead. But that would have been a perfectly cromulent Bond theme. Ignore comparing it to Sam Smith, I've just flushed something that sounded better than him. It would be better than e.g. White/Keys or many of the Bassey ones.

Going marginally off topic, but challenging the James Bond franchise for the musical cloth eared idiots award of 2015 (it would make a great idea for someone with a bit of time to do research along these lines with loads of other examples):
This was in the running for the 2015 John Lewis Xmas Advert and was unbelievably rejected for that Swedish nobody covering an Oasis ballad:
