Lush were one of my fav bands in the early 90s, and they're back after 20 years, their last album Lovelife came in 1996
was curious to see what kind of music they'd come back with... since Lush had 2 periods: a more "shoegaze/ambient" period with their first EP and two albums... and a "pure pop" period with the Lovelife album and pure bubblegum singles like 500, Single Girl and Ladykillers... looks like they've went back to their early style...
their comeback EP is called Blind Spot (out apr 15) and this is the lead track of the EP, Out of Control

Out Of Control is exactly what I wanted for a Lush comeback. One of my favourite bands from the early Indie and shoe gazing 90's late 80's.
For Love, Deluxe, Single Girl all excellent tracks. Still the gap was filled with the slightly not as good Sleeper with where their sound was going.
We just need some Throwing Muses new material (or even Belly).

And Hypocrite - I had the poster on my wall of the promo that a friend of mine gave me as he worked in a record shop at the time!

Always thought it was a pity that Ciao, the best Lush song ever did, was never released as a single... was it cos of Jarvis label? cannot recall but think there was some issue...

I only saw Belly live once. The support act was a band I'd seen a couple times before called Radiohead! Feed The Tree is a great song. The cover of Trust In Me (from The Jungle Book) on the b-side was also wonderful.

Lovelife was one of the best albums to come out of Britpop and I love it now as much as I did then. The new single does little for me sadly and I can remember buying the best of album when I was at uni and hating the earlier stuff. I would love to see the songs from Lovelife live, but not sure I can put up with the rest of it.

The dates on the youtube videos are not always the day they are available, as they can be added private then made available later.
So although the video says 20 February I might not have found it on 22 February when the search of 2 weeks ago would have been. There is a 2-week delay check for videos so the next search date would have been 7 March when my script obviously found it.

Out Of Control is the Lush throwback I wanted, the Split and Spooky era were much better than Lovelife. Hypocrite, Light From A Dead Star, For Love, and Deluxe were my favourite tracks of theirs.
