The new album, their first since 2012's 'Not Your Kind Of People', is coming sometime in May.
Details are sketchy right now, but I am obviously rather excited about it.

Here it is, the new single 'Empty', having had its world premiere about half an hour ago! The words 'kid at Christmas' spring to mind...

Wow they are really back on form big time, this could have come of 'Garbage'.
Love that they sound a bit industrial again.

This would sound so good on Radio 1 but they only play certain 90s bands now so they will headline their big weekends hence why Foo Fighters get played a lot and Biffy Clyro this week get another A list.

A lyric video for 'Even Though Our Love Is Doomed' was released last week. Here it is:

She was interviewed in the Sunday Times last weekend and mentioned about the fact Radio 1 pretty much stopped playing them over night. I don't understand why bands like Foo Fighters get playlisted all the time whereas bands like Garbage are deemed not relevant any more. They don't even get played on Radio X which I would say should be the sort of music they should be playing. I never understand it why they are quite happy to play old stuff from bands, but new stuff doesn't even get a look in.

In case you didn't know, the album is already available to stream on Apple Music. I've had a listen to it, and there's not a bad track on it, that I can hear. It's not typical Garbage fare (if there is such a thing), the overall mood of the album is quite dark and cinematic, but it's still pretty unmistakably 'Garbage'. I'm particularly liking 'Blackout' right now.
