Im guessing a new portal hole will appear or the sons will be able to time travel just as Dad and Grandad before.
I loved this programme and it was a shame they stopped doing it. It could have carried on and on.

It's set to air on BBC One on Friday 2 September at 9pm according to RadioTimes. Only for 30 minutes though sadly. Still, looking forward to it none-the-less.

I was never that big a fan of the original series, but that was really rather good. That episode has huge potential to be made into a full new series. Whilst Nicholas Lyndhurst has always been underrated as a comedy actor IMHO.
It is certainly better than Mrs Brown's Boys & Citizen Khan. And especially the revival that is harming the legacy of the original, Still Open All Hours.
It certainly shown up the atrocious bad cover version of Are You Being Served?; the patchy, but with some potential grandson of Fletcher, version of Porridge; and the why are they bothering young Hyacinth in, Keeping Up Appearances which followed.

Saw this new episode on the iplayer and what a brilliant written episode it was. It should never have been cancelled. Lyndhurst was brilliant and there is big potential for more episodes.
Much better than the atrocity of Young Hyacinth. Porridge was good as well but wasnt sure what to make of Are You Being Served

I enjoyed it as well, but where can it really go now, we had the whole blitz/spy thing before with the war, is 1962 as interesting once you've done a few song jokes? How had the actor playing Reg not aged, and so many of the actors/actresses had increased HUGELY in size!

Sorry to hear that. I thought that was in with a good chance of being picked up judging by the response online. Maybe Dave might be interested. Red Dwarf has been good for them after they picked it up.

Sad to see the BBC pass on Goodnight Sweetheart, but Porridge was the next best alternative.
Let's hope Dave or even ITV picks up Goodnight Sweetheart because that one off episode showed a lot of potential for future episodes.

Maybe Dave or Britbox will end up doing it, like with Red Dwarf.
