This is a band that I think vya will appreciate, I heard them last night on 6Music Roundtable and I thought Blue Aeroplanes meets Go-Betweens and a texter to the show thought the same. They are from Melbourne and signed to Sub Pop and this is the second single from their followup to their first mini album 'Talk Tight' which got an 8 on Pitchfork. I think I am going to love these guys. I have played this 5 times today now!! Its been a while since that happened with a new band think Twin Wild was the last one.

I heard this too on the same show .... always good to hear an indie/alternative rock band that sound like an indie/alternative rock band.
I agree with the Blue Aeroplanes comparison but I would have chucked It's Immaterial into the mix rather than The Go-Betweens.
Either way, I concur a great introduction, hope there is more of similar quality to come.

Thanks TheThorne - that's not bad at all. I love the rawness of it - makes me think of the early Go-Betweens ("78-79 The Lost Album" and especially their really underrated proper first album "Send Me A Lullaby") as well as the other bands you and raliverpool mention. Not an obvious "sub pop" sound, but old-fashioned indie, sure.... Good to hear this sort of stuff being made today - look forward to hearing more from them....
