The British seem to be having a revival in America at the moment
i-Tunes
1 Ed Sheeran 3 Coldplay 5 Zayn 7 Clean Bandit 9 James Arthur
After last year's pretty lacklustre time for British acts, particularly at home, thanks to i-tunes and streaming British Acts seem to be finding American success again.
Maybe Streaming and downloading are doing something right for them over there.

All five are doing very well in South Africa too - perhaps James and Ed right now. Clean Bandit seems to be hit and miss - Zara is just kicking off popularity wise, but Goldfish is our local artist of choice...
Not that this is USA related...

Swedish.
I was just referring to popular acts here as I don't live in the same hemisphere as you and thought you might be interested.

but Coldplay are never so high, wouldn't be there now without Chainsmokers same for Zayn, Pillowtalk was a one-off, all the next singles flopped, he's doing well now 100% cos of Taylor

I was going to reply - but changed my comment as I don't live in the UK anymore.
Clean Bandit you could pair any old sh*t with and it's lapped up. But not Coldplay in this market - they look at you as you've just released a new Simple Minds album.
