HAVEN COMBI RETRO-CHART W/B 9th JUNE 1985

Marillion ease past Duran Duran this week as Kayleigh sits at the top of the Retro Chart. Featuring in only eight individual charts, with four of us not scoring it, charting high enough on each of them to compensate for this limited spread of points.




Crazy For You is up to number two as Madonna grabs her sixth Top ten hit in just eighteen months. She still has quite a gap to close to reach the top with this song, with 28 points separating the two songs.


OMD continue to climb with So In Love as it breaks into the Top 3, with A View To A Kill and Obsession trailing behind, with both songs now in decline.


Kool and The Gang share the honours for fifth place earning their second Top 5 song with Cherish. Joanna/Tonight went one better, peaking at number 4 in March 1984.


Bruce Springsteen gets a high re-entry this week as Born In The USA re-appears at number 21.


Sister Sledge are this week’s biggest climber with Frankie, up 13 places to number 8.

Video Of the week, I don't care that Earl P mentioned it last week I will just mention it again. Also a great typically 80s video about an abusive partner. Did the subject matter make it difficult for UK radio I don't know but I only ever heard this song on The US Top 10 with Casey Kasem.
