In Bracknell ahead of Marske's FA Vase quarter-final tomorrow. A win would put us one round from Wembley... Good luck MrH! I'll have to look at the result later today. Hopefully Marske can do it!

I've just placed a fiver on the Bournemouth v Newcastle result. 1-1 at 6/1... hopefully I'll have a win. Either that or the bookies will be £5 up!

It looks like I've lost my bet but I don't care due to the score! At half time it's Bournemouth 0 Newcastle 2. Another goal or two will do me...

A win would put us one round from Wembley... Enjoy the sights of Bracknell. If you take your time you could stretch it to almost five minutes. There's always the road with the Dursley's house in the Harry Potter films. Ah, Bracknell, home to Oracle (if they're still there which I suspect not) and Coral Reef...

I should have just gone for a draw rather than backing the actual score...

Quoting myself here, which is usually a sign of madness. But well done to Marske! 3-0 and on to the semi finals. Mr H will be celebrating tonight!

Evans has jumped ship and forced the owner to let him resign, so he can take over at Peterborough, what an odious little tw*t of a man. Stay, finish the job, and leave at the end of the season if you have to, because you're too big for this league obviously, and you once managed Leeds. As for the chairman of Peterborough, I assume we need to report him, because he must have been in touch with Evans, and the correct approach is through our owner isn't it? So if Evans resigns, do we still not get compensation? Players cant resign from clubs and get moves so why can managers? I have nothing against Peterborough, but I really hope they dont make the playoffs, and he's sacked by May!

It's not like he doesn't have a track record of being an odious little tw*t. But while he was your's, you overlooked this. Chickens coming home to roost ? Actually, you do have my sympathy. Given Mansfield haven't been blessed with success or good fortune over the years, it was nice to see them doing well this year. Doesn't Barry Fry own Peterborough ? Now there's another odious little tw*t.

I don’t think anyone has a nice word to say about Evans, ever!! Hadn’t see this news, sorry to hear it. I think you have a better change of promotion than us. We’re not playing well at all. Nolan’s tactics are often one dimensional and predictable. Having said that I’m more than happy with the improvement compared to the last few years.

I couldn't stand Evans' antics on the sidelines bawling out refs etc. but I'd put up with it if we got promotion as like you say shireb, we've not been blessed with success in recent years. Anyway, let's hope we get a good replacement, Phil Brown is top of the list so far, just what we need an experienced head to hopefully steer us over the line.

From what I remember when Pardew walked out on us to join West Ham we put him on gardening leave, don't think we got any compensation though may be wrong. West Ham never got done for it. I've since seen a Football Focus clip from the time which I think involved Trevor Brooking, and it didn't exactly dispel the idea that there had been an illegal approach! Don't think we got any compensation when Mark McGee walked out to join Leicester in 1994 either. All rather sad for Mansfield though, you were looking good for at least the playoffs.

Interesting that you've now poached Flitcroft from Swindon. I guess you must be offering him some fairly decent money as arguably Swindon is the bigger club. A good appointment I'd say.

I didn't know that til my son just told me, not keen on poaching managers at all, two wrongs dont make a right, but a good appointment and someone who knows this league, and so could help us get promotion. Rumour has it he may not have been happy down south?

Evans has said this. "He decided to leave Mansfield (6pm)to follow up an opportunity abroad.. its only when he rang Barry Fry to ask for tickets for the game Tuesday night that they discussed the possibility of him going there." What a load of old horlocks!

Ah and just found out we contacted Swindon and asked to talk to Flitcroft and have paid compensation to them, shame that Peterborough didn't do the same!
