A new international Swedish Supernatural thriller starting on BBC4 with a double episode from 9pm, looks very promising.
====
There are so many horror-film influences in this schlocky, hugely enjoyable Swedish supernatural thriller – The Shining, Paranormal Activity, The Ring, The Blair Witch Project… There are call-outs to each and every one.
Just the premise – a group of young men and women head to an isolated mountain ski lodge for a holiday – will have chiller-lovers quivering in anticipatory glee.
The lights flicker and there are sinister thumping noises in the night. Indeed something terrible happened there 20 years ago that stopped the lodge from ever being open to the public. Naturally the locked door to a cellar opens by itself. It’s terrific fun.
The little group is led by the insufferable Johan, who has big plans to buy the abandoned lodge. But his sensitive girlfriend Hanne knows that the place is very, very wrong. Settle back and prepare to wallow in the opening double bill.

Some good Welsh dramas on s4c if you can get subtitles, Bang is on at the moment and is good, and then a new one coming later is Un bore mercher (keeping faith)

I've seen both episodes, its really good, bit slow in places but it does pick up quite a bit, intrigued with the Jessan character, I won't go any further until everyone has seen it.

Yes, I saw both episodes too. I shall stick by my comment after the first episode that it owes a lot to Stephen King. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Think they say they take influences from several movies, Shining and Blair With Project are two I can remember they mentioned? If Jessan is a recent gf, then I suggest she's there for a reason, she was also doing some channelling? It's definately very interesting at the moment.

Just saw the latest episodes, pretty solid, I preferred the second episode, I think she was possessed, whoever is lurking somehow managed to get in there, but no one bothered to check on her while she was in there. And that ending left me wanting more.

I was disappointed not to hear the caretaker saying "If it wasn't for you pesky kids this would all be mine".
