17. Palaye Royale - Dying In A Hot Tub This one wasn't a huge hit in my chart at the time but it was their debut in my chart and over 2019 became one of my favourite finds of the year, another one that scratches that grunge/emo crossover itch, that was certainly my thing in 2019

16. Bring Me The Horizon - Medicine Wow, 2019 Amo was an eclectic mix of experimental songs and good old Alternative rock, another band in my top 20 from Sheffield, a #3 hit in my chart, a weird video, kick ass chorus and lots of guitars

15. Temples - Context 13 of my top 15 were #1 hits in my chart so those who follow my chart closely might have an idea of my top 15, first up is the psychedelic pop band from Kettering, I love this guys, they release such catchy feel good songs, this one spend 2 weeks at #1 back in November

13. The Amazons - Doubt It The first of them two songs that didn't get to #1 in my chart but it did peak at #2 but it was kept off the top spot by my #2 song of 2019 so no shame about that, The Amazons have been one of the most consistent rock bands of recent years putting out 2 great albums since their debut in 2017, both of which went top 10 in the UK album chart, whilst they don't have the honour of single of 2019 their album Future Dust is my album of 2019

12. Feeder - Youth The Welsh band celebrated their 25 year anniversary in 2019 and rolled back the year with some absolute bangers, this was the second single from Tallulah and spent 2 weeks on top of my chart back in July, their tour was fantastic too, one of my favourite gigs of 2019 and to top it all off their new album peaks at #4 in the UK album chart

11. Sunset Sons - Superman We are getting into the big hitters now, unlucky not to make my top 10, this spend 3 weeks at #1 for me, the British-Australian indie band released their second album Blood Rush Déjà Vu in 2019 with this song being the best of a good bunch

10. Weezer - The End of the Game Into the top 10 and we have the lead single from upcoming album Van Weezer which will be the bands fourteenth studio album. The single and future album has been compared to their fourth studio album Maladroit and is inspired by 1970s and 1980s hard rock and heavy metal bands such as Kiss, Black Sabbath, Metallica and Van Halen (the latter of whom inspired the album's title). Cuomo would also state that the album is "Blue Album-ish, but a little more riffy."..and The End of the Game spent a whopping 4 weeks at the top of my personal chart

9. Twenty One Pilots - Chlorine Another #1 hit in my chart back in March, the track was released as the album's fifth single and was accompanied by a pretty cool music video, it was a minor hit for rap rock/alt hip hop duo Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun but did top the US Alt Rock chart

8. The Black Keys - Go The third single from 'Let's Rock' spent 3 weeks top of my personal chart, this one is the closest song on the album to their peak El Camino days and the closest thing to a hit single if that was still possible for an act like The Black Keys, if this was released 10 year ago it would be a top 40 hit, it's my favourite track from their new album with a funny video too

7. JunkBunny - Sedona JunkBunny are an alternative rock band from Houston, Texas consisting of Mac Johnson (lead vocals & guitar, 18), Cayden Diebold (vocals & bass, 17) and Jake Douglas (drums, 17), their debut EP, Junk Rock came out in 2019 and it blew me away, they have such a great sound that's both grungy but melodic, the entire EP is fantastic especially Take You Home (Groove Buster) which came in at #382 in my top 400 but Sedona is a different level, spending 3 weeks top of my chart

Catfish and the Bottlemen - Longshot April saw Van McCann and his band release their third album in 5 years, their debut album charted at #10 in the uk and their follow up album "The Ride" topped the uk album chart in 2016, this year saw the band score their first top 40 hit with "Longshot" and another huge album with "The Balance" peaking at #2 in the uk, this was my favourite track on the record spending 2 weeks at top of my chart

5. Weezer - High As A Kite Maybe a surprise entry in my top 10, the Black Album wasn't very great but it did have some catchy singles with this single being my favourite, the video is just great too featuring a kid show called Mister Rivers' Neighborhood which is a nod to Mister Rogers but I loved the song and it spent a whopping 4 weeks at number 1 in my chart back in March/April

4. Sam Fender - Hypersonic Missiles I missed this single but I'm not adverse to throwing songs in my top 10 that I made a mistake not charting if they are exceptional and this is brilliant, his entire debut album is fantastic, and he is a local lad, the saxophone solo in Hypersonic Missiles would make Bruce Springsteen proud.

3. Rammstein - DEUTSCHLAND First single Deutschland saw Rammstein come back in spectacular fashion, the song itself is about the history of Germany, all the good, all the bad and the mixed feelings of wanting to love your homeland and never wanting to leave it but not being able to give it your love. The song starts off with killer synths reminiscent of their earlier material which was very much synth rock, then the thundering guitars roll in over the top of the synths as the intro slowly builds until a second guitar kicks in emphasising the synths and the drums build, boom Rammstein are back! Till's distinctive vocals growl DU...HAST, a throwback to their earlier material? musically the song is epic, the 9 minute music video that accompanies the song is a cinematic masterpiece and the occasional chants of Deutschland! as the juggernaut of a song destroys everything in its wake is a thing of beauty, it dominated my chart in April/May, topping it for 4 weeks!

2. The Sherlocks - I've Gotta Be Me "I've Gotta Be Me" is a popular song that appeared in the Broadway musical Golden Rainbow, Sammy Davis Jr. recorded the song in 1968 while the musical was still running on Broadway and scored a major hit, this is a cover of that song and what a fantastic version The Sherlocks did, it spent 3 weeks at the top of my chart

and #1...
1. The All-American Rejects - Send Her To Heaven The comeback of Tyson Ritter and The All-American Rejects, now signed to Epitaph, they released Send Her To Heaven on July 16, 2019 and what a return to form this was, I just love the groove of this one and a kick ass bass line, it sways and swaggers along, it spent 3 weeks top of my personal chart and becomes my #1 song of 2019
