I was quite confident about this round - but there's some real big hitters there.

Some more anthemic than others, but all in all a pretty good bunch.

Some bona fide all-time greats there, which aren't necessarily recognised as such. And just a small number of choices which are just too painfully predictable.
All tracks 7/10 or better.

Humm, I'm holding back the mash and gravy, as not as many bangers as I expected...

What a round! This is every bit as awesome a selection I hoped it might be. Two of my back-ups from previous rounds here too. I got in with my first choice but really pleased to see my second choice is there too (assuming Smurfie that I am right about that?) My third choice was this which would also have been a contender for the 2000s round:

How on earth can you split most of these?
So no-one brave enough to enter Donna Summers' I Feel Love!

Would have been my nailed-on bottom choice as it's come up once too often in these contests as it is. There is another entry here that I love but am ambivalent about giving high points to for a similar reason.

There is another entry here that I love but am ambivalent about giving high points to for a similar reason. There are two entries here that I am pondering. I don't think I'll place them last, because they are both great songs. But they won't be in the Top 5, that's for sure.

As sick as I am of 'I Feel Love', I think it belongs in this round more than some of these. I was expecting more massive anthems in the vein of 'Ride On Time', 'Firestarter' and even 'Dancing Queen'.

Only 3 for me which I wouldn't consider dance anthems but I bet two of those are ones you do. For me a dance anthem is defined by one name, thats all I will say till speculation time.
