Latest word on DenDen is she's been dropped by EMI and no futher singles will be released from the new album. That's only a half truth... she hasn't been dropped mid-contract - the contract had ended, and apparantly isn't going to be renewed.

It could go either way. It's already sold 250,000 copies in three weeks, but sales will surely slow down now. I think by the time the next single is released they'll be nearing 400,000 copies. I think in total they might fall short of 500,000 copies.

A load of predictable rubbish there. What an earth is with 'Will Young's Your Game' as best single? It sold hardly anything . It wasn't exactly a classic. I've liked some of his stuff, but i was immune to Your Game. Awful selection of singles. Jamelia is the best. Girls Aloud for best pop act though ;D

I think it'll be their most successful release (and to their credit, they reached #14 on just the strength of their maxi with 'Heaven&Earth' didn't they?). But I think it'll be like AllStars... first two singles not doing so well, then a minor 3rd hit (perhaps scraping the top 10).
Pete Waterman bigged them up on Saturday's CDUK and said he thought they were good/talented, and that he wouldn't drop them if they didn't suceed this time around.
Personally Pop! aren't really my thing. It's like Steps, but with worse music. Steps seemed more likeable as personalities too... Pop! seem to have a more sexy (in an almost tarty way) look to them.
Can't wait to see where they end up in the midweeks.

I liked Hold On Me, I thought it sounded 'fresh' in a very 80s way. And yes, I did buy it (albeit when it was in a bargain bin! ;D) but I liked it.
Love Resolution was alright, but I wasn't convinced enough to buy that.
Wild Boys was awful, even getting as high as #12 was bad enough! I'm not sure if their over-long 2 track did account for its chart placing or not.
I'm really not keen on Strange Love. The video is odd, and the song is a bit bland in my opinion! Although radio play has been surprisingly good, I don't see it turning their career around. Perhaps a Top 20 placing.
I think their record company are holding onto them because apparantly they've done quite well in *some* (probably meaning one ;D) countries abroad, where the album has been released for quite a time. Plus I don't think three top 15s is considered too bad for the record company.
They're better than One True Voice at any rate, so good luck to them, even though I don't think Strange Love will help them out.

Without a doubt, it's Brandy. She was robbed of the Top 10, Afrodisiac was fabulous It's chart run was great: 11-12-16-27-42-50-66-69-OUT ;D

*Voice his own opinion* Get Right is fabulous! It's gone down a storm with most other forums, as a song in its own right. A lot of people are pretty anti-Jennifer Lopez, but seem certain she'll have a hit. I reckon it'll be big! I don't like the video that much, but it's a catchy song
