Visions of Chic's " I Want Your Love" are dancing around (as the classic gets sampled and remixed by Glitterball Inc.). "My Luv" is the latest in what has been a long and quite successful line of "I Want Your Love" re-does. This one is not quite as obvious as most, but a deep listening of this House track's rhythms will bring the familiar original front and center once again. Souped up version of the Stacy Q classic "Get On Up And Do It Again" from DJ Stephane Deschezeaux. It fell thru the cracks in 2015 but is now front and center in 2016. He takes the original funky beat even farther and deeper in this "best ever" version of this track. Just try to keep still! We heard it and it was live in less than 45 minutes on USA Dance Mix. Re-released update of the classic Geraldine Hunt song " Can't Fake The Feeling" by Doc Jam. He takes a few words, beats and rifts from the original and creates something sounding both new yet familiar at the same time. A bit more jumpy than the original but just as good. The only debut this week already on YouTube.

Our thoughts are with those who perished on 9/11 fifteen years ago today. SPOTLIGHT (LINKS): #1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 35, 36, 37 (most others can be found on YouTube) DEBUTS: Retro (2015 overlooked track) "You Can Do It" from Mr. DJ Stephane Deschezeaux leads the pack. It's a remake of Stacy Q's " Get On Up And Do It Again" and done very nicely. This time, the bass is taken a bit farther and deeper than the original resulting in "best sound ever" for this 1981 song! EAT IT UP! Medsound & Maria Estrella's "Bittersweet Romance" follows closely and is a rather hypnotic, House track. Don't try to figure out the vocals just imagine them as part of the beat (and escape) into this mostly instrumental remix by DJ Lounge. "In Your Eyes" is a re-take on the Geraldine Hunt classic " Can't Fake The Feeling" by Doc Jam which sounds both new and familiar at the same time. Lots of added drifts and breaks thrown into this super update. Nobody noticed it in 2015 but with Miss Jessie Matthews on vocals and a 2016 remix by J. Paul Getto it's hard to find anything wrong with this retro sounding (yet modern) hit from KORT & Elementary. DJ Spen & Michele Chivarini put a "High Class" spin on this S.E.L. track. A bit wordy in spots, but pretty damn good. A nice breezy, beach feeling kinda House track. The rhythm takes control at the 1:20 mark!

Mostly an instrumental, bouncy House jam. Complete with a couple unique spots. We like this song but feel they could have taken it even farther..... and made it 25% better. SPOTLIGHT (LINKS): #4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35 (most others can be found on YouTube) DEBUTS: The top debut is KORT & Elementary's "Warning (I Need Ya Love)" with Jessie Matthews on vocals. A mostly instrumental (other than the title repeated) House jam. Released in 2015 this is a newer, better 2016 remix by J. Paul Getto. Vocal House track, "Elevation" is next. This is a good feeling, bouncy House jam (also a new remix) by DJ Spen & Michele Chivarini. New artist Mario Djust jumps on board with "The Real G" as in gangsta. Mostly an instrumental House jam with a touch of funk is the best way to describe his debut. Saison's "Help Me" is the next debut. It's yet another mostly instrumental House number, nicely done, but probably could have been taken a few steps farther. 2016 is the "Year Of The Instumental" in case you didn't know by now, which is a complete opposite of last year, when I think we had only 3 instrumental tracks. Will The Funkboss rounds out the debuts with "Tomorrow's Music (Today)" which is a retro sounding, funky House release. It's done in a similar vain as the classic " Show Me How To Dance" by the Bingo Boys. Our top debut this week is a retake on the Room 5 & Oliver Cheatham classic "Make Luv" from 2003. Very refreshing, very 2016 sounding on this one.....quite classy and with just a touch of Electro House thrown in to spice things up. (jump in around the 1:30 mark)

Yes it's an update of the Janet Jackson classic. Sarah Kennedy provides the vocals here and does a fine job. We'll edit this down to the best 3 to 3 1/2 minutes when we add it to the playlist at USA Dance Mix. Compliments the Janet orignal quite well. A nice radio edit will start the fire here.

1992 Legacy Of Sound hit gets an update from Discorock & Kalypso with that added Full Intention remix. Starts a bit on the slow side but once it gets going........it gets going (around the 1:14 mark). Probably wouldn't have been my first choice for a remake, but they pull it off quite well. POLISHED

RedSoul puts a new face on the 1981 Janet "Lady" Day hit "Come Let Me Love You" and his musical insrumental update is quite impressive. He titles it "North Road" this time around. TRAXSOURCE SAMPLE (this track is not on YouTube at the moment)

SPOTLIGHT (LINKS): #9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33 (most others can be found on YouTube) CHART TALK: Those two recent charts that had no new entries are still playing havoc on the chart. In fact in all my chart years, this is one of the more unusual charts I've seen and I don't really recall one looking like it. DEBUTS: Remember the retro hit " Make Luv" from Room 5 & Oliver Cheatham? It's been redone and retitled "Keep It Comin" and is our top debut. Crazibiza & Sante Cruze give us a great track that sounds both familiar and new at the same time. It's follwed by another remake and this time it's a Janet Jackson song. " When I Think Of You" gets morphed into yet another deja-vu sounding track by Twism, B3RAO & Rick Marshall. Ian Carrera puts a super remix on the Darren Glen House track "Keep Lookin' Up" which is so smooth and so 2016! " Happy" was a big 1992 hit for Legacy Of Sound and now Discorocks & Kalypso along with help from remixer Full Intention have reimagined this classic. Their interpretation sounds very refreshing to say the least. You'd have to be a real Dance music junkie to remember or even know " Come Let Me Love You" by Janet Lady Day. The 1981 track gets some musical updates in this instrumental version from producer RedSoul. His "North Road" rounds out the debuts.
