Keeping with the progressive feeling of most of these RETRO REWIND blasts from the past. Richard Earnshaw put one hellova mix into this 2008 "out tha box" House track.

Nothing says summer like this flowing House track that came out in the summer of 2010. Imagine yourself, on a beach, headphones on, jammin to the beat (I know I was on Ponte Vedra Beach south of Jacksonville, Florida). Summer is even mentioned in the song. Various mixes but Wideboys' is by far the best. Heard daily on USA Dance Mix.

This has just been buzzing in my head for a bit. Let's say your song is produced and released on December 1st. But it doesn't get played or get popular and appear on charts till February. What year would the song be from?
All the track "history" on paper would say that the track was from 2015. But Suzie Disco would always remember that song was popular right around her high school graduation in 2016. So for Suzie, at least, the song would always be 2016. That's why sites like Discogs.com, how sure can they be of their years? Yes it was released in 2015, but didn't HIT till 2016.

P.S. This song did make a small hit in 1978 or 1979 with Denise Montana and Goody Goody. My take is there probably was a lot of BIG competition at the time and this song kinda fell through the cracks. That being said, the new mix is by far the best mix yet I think. Here's the slower, less danceable original. www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNgJre5BK8U&list=PLAB5261181FF6BFCB

DJ Spen & Soulfuledge mix up a moving but sparse vocal House track which is pretty much an instrumental. Some fluff, a shorter radio edit will showcase what's "best" in this one.

Another summer feeling House track with sparse vocals. Quite a bit of padding on this one (6:30 in length). Enter around the 2:30 point or later. We'll make a tighter under 4 minute edit when we add it to USA Dance Mix.

Sudad G is the remixer on this flowing House track. Other mixes are on YouTube but this one (the best) is not there yet. TRAXSOURCE SAMPLE

Samples (although just a tiny bit) Chaka Khan's "Do You Love What You Feel". Nice flowing, sparse vocal summertime House jam.

2016 remix of this 2008 House track. Smoother and more subdued this time around.

DEBUTS: Seascape & Dawn Tallman (remixers DJ Spen & Soulfuledge) is our top debut. "I Give It All To You" features sparse vocals over a bouncy House beat. "Heat" by Sean McCabe & Groove Assassin continues that theme with minimal vocals over nice House rhythms. We've been waiting for that smooth summer track that seems to appear every year at this time. "Number One DJ" by Denise Montana is such a track. Sudad G does a great remix on this one. Piano House jam "What You're Feeling" from Crackazat is yet another summer feeling jam ripe for picking, complete with a very small sample reminisent of Chaka's "Do You Love What You Feel" in the mix. The Kimara Lovelace song "When Can Our Love Begin" from 2008 gets a smoother, silkier remix that takes the song 180 degrees from the original. It really does sound like a new song and rounds out the debuts.

Back to 2006 for Spiritchaser's re-touch of the Orekid original (which is pretty good also). He molds it into something similar to, yet different from the original and adds a bit more meat to beat.
Earnshaw's re-touch

Vocal House gem from 2011. Richard Earnshaw gave it it's best mix. Has a nice, summer, beach feel to it.

If you're a fan of flowing, cloud like, smooth vocal House tracks then you'll enjoy this one. Thom Chris puts the sound of 2016 on this great mix. Don't try to follow the lyrics.......just sit back and go with the flow on this one.

Very familar France Joli hit "Gonna Get Over You" gets some added beats and emebllishments via Alexz. This is a more danceable and souped up version of the original. TRAXSOURCE SAMPLE (this track is not on YouTube)

The onslaught of instumental House tracks continues. There is a female vocal version of this on YouTube (lyrics don't match the music or do anything for the track)......kind of like a size 9 foot in a size 12 shoe.....that's why we're sailing with the instrumental version.

In 2015 we only charted 3 all year long (which was very unusual). I can't recall a recent year in which we've has as many instrumental tracks charted at this time as we've had so far in 2016. Also, this is one of the few times we've got 14 tracks moving up in consecutive order....as in this chart. It does happen but usually the string is not so large. With our methodology, you'd think it would happen more often. DEBUTS: "So Right" a breezy, dreamy, vocal House track from Groovefore & Muzikfabrik is out top debut. Thom Chris throws a great remix that brings it all to life. Fans of the France Joli hit " Gonna Get Over You" (which I always sped up on my turntable) will delight in this newer, more danceable version titled "I Know" from Alexz. Seems to be at the same speed but the added beats and embellishments do a great job of making you THINK it's faster. "Everywhere" our last debut is yet another flowing, instrumental House track. Although there is a female vocal version, the lyrics do nothing for the song. It's the music that powers this great tune from Thomas Blondet & Eric Kupper. (chart is not lining up correctly in Google Chrome, So many links is what is affecting the numbers) ON THIS BI-WEEKLY CHART *Debuts enter at the bottom and are listed in order of strength. *Tracks are grouped together (like horses in a race). A moving House jam with a radio friendly vibe. About as chunky and tough as a track can get. It might just get up and Dance across the floor! A tighter edit will bring this one to life at USA Dance Mix.

Possibly the best new act of the past 6 months, Me & My Toothbrush return with a funky, male vocal House track. The music is the star in this one!

They may have gotten the title "sound" from Brass Construction or The Bucketheads......but the rest of this House song is very new.
