2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) 🔁 ❤️😲 [Cineworld sci-fi season re-release]
Was grest watching some of these scenes at the cinema with the visuals and the soundtrack. Another one from my big screen wishlist ticked off. And much better than the other times I've watched this; on a laptop and on a phone

All Of Us Strangers (2023) ❤️😭😭😭 Really want to see this but worried it will absolutely destroy me! I was expecting it to break my soul, as the subject is very close to home for me. Even though it is the most amount of a runtime I've spent crying I avoided a major breakdown into full on sobbing

Shame. I often have Kerrang on in the background when I'm in the living room doing something else

So far I've seen 5 of the Best Pictures: American Fiction Barbie Killers of the Flower Moon Oppenheimer Poor Things I'm booked in for seeing The Holdovers this Friday. When they came out I had wanted to see Anatomy of a Fall and Past Lives, especially the latter, but I wasn't able to get to a screening in time. Hopefully they get a re-release that gives me a second chance, but failing that they're both readily available for rent. I've wanted to see The Zone of Interest from when I first heard about it, so I'll definitely be seeing that once it's released in UK cinemas on 2nd Feb. That just leaves Maestro, which I can easily catch on Netflix and then I'll be all sorted for getting the nominees in order I've seen 9 and seeing The Zone of Interest tomorrow hopefully. Since then I've seen another 2, taking me up to 7. Going to rent Anatomy Of A Fall and Past Lives, and hopefully going out to see Zone Of Interest soon to get them all ticked off

American Fiction (2023) Advanced screening - really enjoyed this. Funniest film I've seen in a long while Same, was great. Lot of quiet white folk in my screening! All of our walk outs were old white couples The gun mime during the conference call proper tickled me 😂 And I'm made up it got 5 Oscar nominations today (edit: forgot it got Best score as well)

After watching Saturday's show it only confirmed most of my guesses more. However, it did also fully confirm to me that Bubble Tea was Emily Atack, so take what you will from that.
My current guesses:
Maypole - Keeley Hawes Cricket - Babatunde Bigfoot - Alex Brooker Dippy Egg - Tommy Cannon Air Fryer - Andy Oliver Owl - Lorraine Kelly Eiffel Tower - Tiffany Piranha - Danny from McFly (100% on this one)
