CD1 has the last four tracks moving up a place to make 16 and not 17 like the original as Kate Bush is missing
CD2 is the exact version of the original cd but no lil louis.

Are there no further Now Yearbook or Now Yearbook Extra releases planned for this year? I was expecting a Now Yearbook Extra 88 to at least make an appearance but I can't see anything listed for the rest of this year at the Now store.

You need a magnifying glass to read the notes in the booklets of the re-issues. I do miss the regular NOWs having the sleeve notes.

I'm expecting the NOW 88 extra any day now, it must be due...maybe this week?

There's nothing listed and usually a release date is set about a month in advance.

Im finding the more this carries on the worst the tracklisting is getting and its more about how much a label can pay to have a certain track on it now.
There are more flops or songs that failed to go top 40 than ever on this edition.
It was good back in the day but now streaming has killed off a good compilation

Leaving aside that streaming has killed off the compilations market, streaming has also meant that there's such a low turnover of hits that there's not enough material to fill an album like Now. Maybe it needs to drop to just twice a year to increase the quality.

There's two (the Now Yearbooks) that I'll be buying. Now should have released the Now Yearbook Extra 1988 before Christmas.

Personally I'm enjoying the non-hits on the newest albums, even moreso than the hits! Leave the likes of the Pretenders, Belinda Carlisle, Noel Gallagher and Tears for Fears on there I say!

Im finding the more this carries on the worst the tracklisting is getting and its more about how much a label can pay to have a certain track on it now. There are more flops or songs that failed to go top 40 than ever on this edition. More than 80% of this year's Top 100 best selling tracks are on a Now album. And I can absolutely guarantee that you'd whine if they included many of the notable omissions, given they are by the likes of Central Cee, Drake and D-Block Europe. Taylor Swift is the only prominent artist whose work isn't licensed to Now these days. Your perception that they have fewer hits these days is entirely caused by the fact that there are fewer hits these days, thanks to the slower turnover of the charts. And the compilers of Now are to be credited for using the non-hit slots on the albums to broaden the diversity and appeal of their CDs. Personally, I like Now 114, Now 115 and Now 116 as much as, say Now 84, Now 85 and Now 86. But then, I enjoy a lot of new music.

The Now 1990 Yearbook line-up looks good. It's my favourite year for music from the first few years of the 90s (1990 to 1993) so I'll definitely be buying this. The tracklist of CD2 is close to perfection.
