I thought I'd be able to think of loads but my mind's gone blank Although on the plus side, this thread DID remind me about Mean Girls Day (October 3rd), which then inspired me to look up the next year that it falls on a Wednesday, which isn't until 2029. So there's that.

I just looked up about Mean Girls day - there was a character called Janis Ian, but "At Seventeen" isn't in their soundtrack (nor any of her other songs).
I don't know of any "Star Wars Day" songs (May 4th)

The 3rd of February 1959 was the "day the music died", which is what Don McLean's 'American Pie' is based around.

Jon Bon Jovi has a solo song called "August 7, 4:15".
Dina Carroll's "The Perfect Year" is about New Years' Eve.
Kirsty MacColl has one called "Halloween".

Sheryl Crow mentions November 1963 in her song 'Run baby run'. She says it's the date Aldous Huxley died - and I've just checked that was November 22nd, so that's another to add to the list. CS Lewis also died on that date. However, neither death received much news coverage as it was also the day JFK was assassinated. That event was the subject of Peter Gabriel's Family Snapshot. The same singer, in another song, mentioned September '77, the month in which Steve Biko was murdered by South African police.

Enola Gay mentions the time (8:15) but not the date (6th August).
