3 Another Bad Creation - Playground
I did promise you more from one of the worst rnb boy bands ever. This makes 'Candy Girl' look like Kendrick Lemar. The US charts had lost it with this stuff in 1991. This reached #10 in the US.

Well it is top 2 time, have you guessed what thr other song is, well this is not my number one!!
2 Color Me Badd - I Wanna Sex You Up
It is not often I hate a song instantly but this is for sure one of those. It was bad enough on the radio but watching it with the video or nearly as bad on TOTP. The song is just awful in so many ways but really it is the lyrics more than anything that make it so painful. The whole concept How do you sex someone up?? If you replace sex with a much stronger word, it sounds like you are going to put them in hospital!!! It does not make any sense and it is super cringe and creepy and weird and they are just the oddest looking boy group. Nothing makes sense. The only reason this isn't number one, is the backing vocal is fine and the groove itself is ok. Which gave it a 1/2 out of 10 not a total zero!!! It was of course an International number one because singing the word 'Sex' was super edgy in 1991.

So what could be the worst song of 1991. Well some say comedy records are easy targets and don't pick on novelties but what if they fail to be funny and have no real novelty what if they are just completely stupid.
1 Hale And Pace and The Stonkers - The Stonk
I am sorry I lasted 42 seconds. Ok I get it, Jive Bunny is popular and this is a kind of Blues Brothers thing ok.... Firstly, Hale & Pace haven't been funny for nearly 10 years and even then only when it was in small doses on FNL/SNL on C4. The song is really really really bad, I would preferred if they had just done a cover and if they were doing the Blues Brothers why not do it as The Management that might have worked, but instead they thought no we will try to really sing and be zany!! No No No No!!!! It is not funny, it is embarrassing and anyone who bought this rather than just give Comic Relief cash was just a masochist, although I am sure they never actually played it but still someone must have?? Maybe?? Nah surely not. This was a UK number one.............................................
ps. The B Side by Victoria Wood - The Smile Song not one of her best but 100x better than the above.
