I can't say too much about this whole situation but feel that everyone on this board should be the first to hear more-or-less what is going on. After all it is you guys who have really supported Dannii so much over the years. There will be an official statement made very shortly - but after The Sun newspaper reported 'Dannii is Dumped' - it is unlikely that another newspaper will actually report the truth.
In short Dannii has NOT been dropped by London Records, as Tezza has already posted. The head of London Records has left, the whole A&R department have left or been made redundant and even Dannii's press officer is no longer with the company! The whole label is being changed with new people being brought in etc. This is a situation which takes a long time to sort out. As a result there is nobody left at the company who were there when Dannii (and why Dannii) signed to the label in the first place.
Dannii had 2 options. To stay with London Records - BUT have nothing released until 2005, when the label would be back on its feet with a full working team. Or she was offered the chance to seek a deal elsewhere. As you all know she has been busy recording for the last 10 months really and I'm sure you can guess what Dannii has decided.
As I said there will be an official statement and for the moment danniimusic.com will not be going anywhere - which is good
I just wanted to give you a little more info as you all deserve to be told the truth - it's just there are legal things etc that are being sorted out. But despite what has been reported in the press, Dannii has not been dropped, she just wants to be able to release material this year.
I know that you will all support Dannii through this situation and I'm sure she will be on here to speak to you all very soon.
More news as soon as I get it.
