Verónica was the 6th winner of the first edition of Operación Triunfo (The Spanish Pop Idol) which made history in Spain and caused such a phenomenom. In the big final she didn't win, in fact she came the last out of the six but she made the "Golden minute" of the history of spanish television with her rendition of One day I'll fly away from the musical Mouling Rouge. After releasing a forced and forgetable first album she came back with a shocking new album with some spanish r&b, self written (AND GOOD!) songs and scandalous videoclips about lesbianem and sado-masochism she's left her second record company in three years in order to look for the support her work deserves. She's one of the biggest selling and most loved contestants (or ex as she broke completelly with the company that managed her and the rest of her famous mates)of Operación Triunfo as well as the most talented ones. She's done a tour of spanish classical music (El amor brujo from Manuel de Falla) of which she got very positive reviews and is set to do her debut on cinema and tv next year. She's beautiful, highly talented, driven and the sweetest gal I've ever come across with (Forgot to say I know her in person). Some of her songs (clips): - Lluvia (written by her. About her experience in Guatemala as a goodwill ambassor of a spanish organization) rtsp://realserver.elcorteingles.es/SGFM/05/63/9/05110205639/05110205639000a01011.rm- Tal vez (Quite r&b-ish and with the hottest videoclip ever) rtsp://realserver.elcorteingles.es/SGFM/05/63/9/05110205639/05110205639000a01021.rm- No hay otro amor - No other love (Dance tune about pure real love with a video about homosexualism that was censored on public television) rtsp://realserver.elcorteingles.es/SGFM/05/63/9/05110205639/05110205639000a01031.rm (English) rtsp://realserver.elcorteingles.es/SGFM/05/63/9/05110205639/05110205639000a01101.rm- Antes de llorar Apparently her next album will follow this rockier sound - Aquí(Written by her)The person you love dies and this is what you feel. Gorgeous ballad. rtsp://realserver.elcorteingles.es/SGFM/05/63/9/05110205639/05110205639000a01051.rm- Suerte que te tengo(Written by her) Sexy swing dedicated to his dead father. This was bound to be a duet with him, but he died a week before she released the album and was too ill to record the track. rtsp://realserver.elcorteingles.es/SGFM/05/63/9/05110205639/05110205639000a01071.rm- Dos & Don'ts Another english track with her (I gotta admit it) awful english. If anyone is interested in watching the videoclips just let me know and I'll get the better links possible. Some caps from Tal Vez video: And promotional h.q's:
