There's been a bit of talk of betting here recently so I thought that maybe we could do a betting game...
It would work something like this:
Each player gets £1000 to bet with on a variety of sporting (or other) events and make as much money as they can.
There could be a table with running totals, as well as a weekly percentage gain table (similar to Celebdaq).

This has been done before... I am interested.
I think it should be kept separate from the footy predicta - a few footy events, by all means, but not relying on them.
It should also be short-term (no league title/relegation bets yet!), and weekly.

The idea is people would state what they want to bet on (eg Tiger Woods to win *insert name of golf tournament here* or England to win 4th test). If I can find odds for it (BlueSq would be my first choice, but I'd check other sites if necessary.) they can bet on it. |
