Starts tomorrow!
Can England save the series?
England are likely to make two changes from the 2nd test with Paul Collingwood replacing Andrew Strauss and James Anderson coming in for either Giles or Udal.

248-6 at the close, we really need at least 300 to be in with a chance I reckon.

300 is a must. 350 would be a good score from this position.
Good to see Collingwood finally have a good knock. Hopefully he can stick around tomorrow and get his hundred. He'll need Udal to support him though.
Overall, a disappointing day, though. Apart from Shoaib Akhtar (who didn't get a wicket today), Pakistan's bowlers really aren't that good. Poor batting has cost us a chance of winning the series.
Interestingly, Liam Plunkett got the nod over James Anderson. Hope he has a good debut tomorrow.

288 all out and collingingwood on 96 At least we have em 12-2 at lunch, but we have to take that on, and keep taking wickets.

Well it seems as though Pakistan have steadied the ship. Now 112-3, seems as though this could go right down to the wire!

Must admit I'm not really that bothered anymore either! Lets hope we take a couple of wickets before the close though.

185-4 at the close.
Nice to see Plunkett get a wicket.
Really stupid shot by Collingwood to get out...

Oh dear well it looks like the series is over then unless we take 5 quick wickets for about 20 runs.

It's not happening...
I still blame the batsmen though. They should've made at least 450 on this pitch.

Well it will be a miracle if we save this one. We're now 71-2!

What's gone wrong. You can't even point the finger at individuals. It seems to have been a poor team performance. I still maintain that England are by far a better all round team than Pakistan, so can we blame the pitch or fatigue or what?

Well its certainly confused me, maybe its the pitch perhaps. I didn't think they were meant to be fatigued.

wow, a loss of an innings and 100 runs...I think part of this defeat was due to the conditions, it can be pretty tough out there. Plus Pakistan are a quality side and are a hard nut to crack.
