well, there's "van helsing" (horror/action as far as i can tell) and "troy" (historical-based action about the ancient siege of troy... featuring much GORE, i believe) both coming up this month. i'll prob get to see both with my friends when the exams are over ;D

oh and the next harry potter film is due out later this summer i think, if you're interested andy ;D Out on Monday. I'm a major Potter fan although the first two films were fine but nothing special. This new one with a different director is supposed to be easily the most dark and by far the best.

Cheers for the list Frag, the above 3 interest me, but doubt we will get to see em til we have a babysitter:( As for Harry Potter, well if it keeps people happy and generates cash for the UK, can only be good I suppose.

;D Out on Monday. I'm a major Potter fan although the first two films were fine but nothing special. This new one with a different director is supposed to be easily the most dark and by far the best. i've heard that, too... i'm hardly a potter fan of any description, although i have read all the books and have been goaded into seeing the films, largely because i can't accuse something of its faults without having first discovered them many of my friends are big fans and were unhappy about some of the inaccuracies in the films ("harry MUST have GREEN eyes you fool", etc. ) the first film began well, then got worse; the second never really got anywhere for me. i may see the third, if i'm bribed or rather bored come next week

oh, and troy was pretty good... seen it twice now again, very "historically" inaccurate, but i don't know the facts, having only ever been force-fed greek myth in the form of the odyssey (in french! ). most of the characters came across as really weak, though, with the exception of hector. and achilles was LOATHSOME (although that may just have been brad pitt, who i can't stand )

Saw "Tory" & "The Day After Tomorrow".
The former was fabulous, although as mentioned, historically innacurate.
"The Day After Tomorrow", however, was completley awful in my opinion. Overly cliché - the film seemed to be built around these special effects. The effects were indeed brilliant, but that's not enough to carry a film for me. The script seemed to be made up as they were going along. Bleugh to it!
Next on my list: "The Notebook", "Spiderman 2", "Shrek 2" and "King Arthur".

I'm off to a preview screening of Shrek 2 on Saturday! ;D And if Spiderman 2 is anything as good as the soundtrack, it'll be grand

shrek 2 and king arthur both look good... spiderman 2 POSSIBLY... the last film annoyed me (although that might have been because the way it ended it might as well have had a little man waving a placard that said "HEY KIDS! STAY TUNED FOR THE SEQUEL!" )
