Very interesting that the judges no longer have a vote. On This Morning the viewers vote had Leona first, Ben second and The Macdonalds third. Love Melody xx

I don't often watch X factor but hear or read about it most weeks, heard the clips from last weekend on Moyles show on Monday. Eton Road did sound awful (one of the members of the team called it one of the worst X factor performances ever). Given the reaction in the studio following their performance on the night, it does make me think that those in the studio hear a different performance to the one that goes out on TV too. I was amazing the cheer that Eton Road got afterwards.
And Simon did contradict himself when making the final choice, saying it was based on who he thinks will progress further NOT on the best performance on the night.

Does it change from now on then? Because from what I've seen throughout each week for the final 12 the judges have saved someone in the bottom 2.

And Simon did contradict himself when making the final choice, saying it was based on who he thinks will progress further NOT on the best performance on the night. What he actually said, when making his decision, was that Eton Road were much better the second time, and based on performance it was pretty much neck and neck. He then went on to say that he had to choose based on longevity, given that the perfomances were equal. So it wasn't a contradiction, it was just an extension.

Ray is surely toast this week Hopefully . Pretty dodgy song choices too - Jailhouse Rock and The Way You Look Tonight. Ben looks very solid this week - Live and Let Die and Your Song Eton Rd - Somebody To Love and Can You Feel The Love Tonight Leona is apparently ill this week and hasn't been able to practice, but will sing Lady Marmalade and I Will Always Love You. Could be great, could be a disaster if she isn't 100% MacDs are playing their trump card this week - one of their performances will be 500 Miles, the other When You Say Nothing At All (I thought Louis had fallen out with Ronan) Ray is the bookies favourite to go!!

Ray doesn't have the power for TWYLT Ben cashing in on Bond Leona lovely choices Don't like Eton Rd's choices. Didn't G4 tackle both of those? Maccy D's should do 500 Miles second!

G4 did Circle of Life rather than CYFTLT. Probably the finest ever X Factor performance but somehow found them in the bottom 2

Very dull, is it movie week? I'm finding it hard working out the themes Wasn't Mariah supposed to be featuring this series?

It is supposed to be movie week, but some of those choices are only very tenuously related to films, like 500 Miles
There were a lot of rumours about special guests, including Mariah, Robbie, Elton and hilariously Steve Brookstein. I presume none of them were true though. Take That and Barry Manilow are apparently appearing in future episodes.
