Dionne was great, and hard to believe she was in the bottom 2.
leona gave the best performance.

McDonald Bros should have gone - by far the weakest

MacDonald Bros sang well though and have probably the best vocals of all the remaining groups, they simply lacked personality
After hearing Leona again I thought she was awful actually. I don't really like any of Simon's acts actually
I was very surprised Unconventionals and Dionne were in the bottom 2. There goes the first 4 pattern then. Simon probably chose correctly, but the Unconventionals had a lot more to give. I reckon Simon's motive was to weaken Louis

I found it really embarassing watching Simon gloat over Louis on the Xtra factor. Makes me want all his acts to go out over teh next few weeks - he can be so smug I thought the McDonalds were the weakest last nigt. Backing singers were overpowering at times for some of the acts too. It was a shame that the Unconventionals went - I'd prefer them around to yet another boy band. Ben was very good

Simon is very smug.Don't like him at all.Was always making fun of Louis.Heard they'd been told to behave this year so their squabbles didn't detract attention from the contestants.

I thought, for the groups especially, the backing vocals were ridiculously high. Certainly for the groups, there is no need, I could barely make out how well or badly some of them were singing. I noticed it more for the groups as I feel its pointless them having the backing singers! 4sure seemed to be the worst as I was quite surprised how good they sounded in the verses, but had no idea in the chorus as they were drowned out! For me, Ben or Nikitta to win- Eton Road were surprisingly good, and I would tip them for top group.

Would have been nice for something different to stay in the comp, then again x factor is not about different is it really. As for simon's gloating, it may be for tv, but it is just so annoying.

Here's what I thought, if anyone is interested:
Robert - Good start to the show. I don't much like him but he performed well.
Eton Rd - In contrast to Paul, I thought it was one of the better performances of the evening. I had fun bopping along on my sofa - and it wasn't any more out of tune than anyone else...
Nikitta - It was alright. Lack of experience showed with her microphone positioning. Nothing wrong with her performance really, but nothing to write home about either.
Ben - His voice really irritates me. Rasp is good. Gravel is not. Anyway, he performed it well and is deservedly the favourite to win at this early point.
MacDonald Bros - One word. Yawn. Dull dull dull dull dull. Tehy are boring, and the performance was boring.
Ray - Ugh, terrible. Poor vocals. Poor poor poor. In terms of singing, he should have been in the bottom two. The only reason he wasn't is because of the cute factor. Even though he isn't cute.
Dionne - It was a really good performance, when she got to the choruses. The verses - she was trying to sing a range her voice can't really reach. If you just listened to the first 20 seconds you'd have wanted her off, but she really delivered the choruses. Didn't deserve to be in the bottom 2.
Unconventionals - The worst of the lot. It was just a shambles. They are not a boyband, and I don't understand why louis got them to do a performance a la Westlife's Uptown Girl. It was just cheesy, and didn't show of their potentially strong vocals. Based on the performance, they deserved to go. Sadly it's entirely Louis's fault they they went - they took advice from a so called expert and paid the price.
Ashley - It was alright. Vocals not brilliant but not too bad either. I don't like him, but I guess it was alright.
Kerry - Dull. But then I guess she can't dance so that knocks out 75% of motwon songs. Still, they could have chosen a song that actually allowed her to sing.
4Sure - Anti-Louis rant part 2. The strength of these guys, as with the Unconventionals, is there ability to sing as a group and harmonise. Making them sing one line each down the line is NOT going to give them the opportunity to fulfill their potential. But hey, Louis wants a boyband so a boyband we shall have... It was an average performance, in a category where these boys really should have shined.
Leona - Meh, she's alright I guess. I don't remember he voice being that high pitched previously though. It made me cringe a bit. So I guess it wasn't that great.

I doubt it will be Ashley that wins. I don't see the attraction in him, and no-one I know likes him either. It will be a little while before he goes though, there's plenty of other dross to get rid of first.
