I'm amazed the Scottish vote is keeping Nikkita, Kerry AND those awful brothers gone. I guess there are more Scots than I thought!

I doubt it will be Ashley that wins. I don't see the attraction in him, and no-one I know likes him either. It will be a little while before he goes though, there's plenty of other dross to get rid of first. Can't stand the tw*t

I'm amazed the Scottish vote is keeping Nikkita, Kerry AND those awful brothers gone. I guess there are more Scots than I thought! I don't think its the Scottish vote, its more the underdog vote I think They are atrocious and don't deserve to be there ahead of The Unconventionals and 4Sure

Thoughts:
Leona - Again, she is so obsessed with warbling and trying to sound like Mariah or Xtina that it sounded awful. She has a good voice and range, but she needs to find her sound and string together a decent performance soon
Kerry - A better song than last week but still a bit too safe. Performed to perfection though
MacDonald Brothers - It wasn't great, but not the worst IMO. They were out of tune in places, but it is harder for the groups. They remind me of the awful Phillip from last year though
Ashley - A great performance, best of the 16-24s. There is something about him that is very versatile and intense and I like that.
Dionne - Vocally it was superb, but she needs to show a bit more personality if she is going to stay longer.
4Sure - By far the worst performance of the series so far. The arrangement was awful and they were badly out of tune. It sounded better on the 2nd show, but they deserved to go. As LC said last week, they should have been given the opportunity to do acappella (same with Unconventionals). 4sure do provide some justification for themed weeks. I don't want to see a band like this that don't have versatility win the whole thing. Steve only ever did soul, and he hasn't been successful
Nikitta - They overcompensated with her mic problems last week, but the performance was strong.
Robert - A bit too Chico-ish on the first show, much more controlled and more better on the 2nd show
Eton Rd - I don't get them. They look different but Louis insists on giving them average boyband-esque fodder. Nothing remarkable about the performance, a bit out of tune too
Ray - I hate to admit it, but vocally he was spot on last night. The song isn't the most difficult to sing however, and I still find him very dislikable
Ben - Head and shoulders above everyone else. I'd like to see him play some more instruments, but Sharon, you've got the X Factor won

My thoughts: Leona - agree with Paul, she is too busy trying to do the Mariah high-pitched thing that she's not letting us see her real voice. Just like Mariah, she has a really strong voice lower down her range, I just wish both of them would use it to full effect. Kerry - Still find her bland I'm afriad. The song is supposed to be full of emotion but I didn't get that from Kerry at all. I just saw someone running through the motions. She's not a bad singer but she needs to actually do something to go up in my estimation. MacDonald Brothers - showed a bit more personality this week, which is good. Unfortunately, they were terribly out of tune. Ashley - Ok, so I don't like him. But his performance was brilliant, the only criticism I would level at him was that the whole 'going into the audience' bit just looked over rehursed. If you're going to do that, it needs to look like a spur of the moment thing. But yeah, he was great. Dionne - Vocals were good. But Simon was absolutely right when he said she looked clunky. I get the impression that she doesn't wear high heels very often, so when she puts them on for the stage, she can't really walk properly in them, let alone perform. It just looked a bit awkward. 4Sure - I thought it was too cheesy for a supposedly 'serious' vocal group. They should not have had the guy that can't pronounce his R's doing a solo bit, because it just sounded terrible. They should have focused on their strength and adapted a song to suit their style - like Ben did last week and Ashley did this week. Nikitta - She got criticism from the judges. Totally undeservedly I thought. I thought it was one of the best performaces of the night, I really really liked it and I like her a lot more because of it. I actually rang up and voted for her - first vote of the series! Robert - Absolutely awful. I can't think of a single good thing to say about it. It made him look like a tw*t, and his vocals were appauling. Deserved to be in the bottom two. Second performance was much better, when he concentrated on his vocals rather than rushing about like an idiot - and the fact that he'd listed to Simon's comments and adjusted his performance the second time is why Simon saved him. Eton Rd - It was....bizarre. Three of them were bopping along like a good boyband, with the odd one stood off to one side swishing about like a gayboy. Odd, but I enjoyed it. Ray - He cheated if you ask me. 'Wonderful World' is not a Rod Stewart song. Ok, maybe he sang it, but then Rod Stewart has probably sang pretty much every song at some point or another. He's an irritating little plonker and I want to grind his face into a cheese grater. Lets see how much he smiles then! Ben - Best performance of the night, again. But for some reason, I'm a bit bored of him now. Can't really say much more than that.

My thoughts on this weeks performances:
Ray - It was 'his' week and while it was technically a good performance I just found it a bit dull.
Dionne - A bad choic of song I think, she had to sing half of it at the bottom of her range, which didn't sound too good. She has got a good voice higher up but I just found it very lacking.
Nikitta - Was a bit of a mess, I love her after last week but I thought she was trying too hard to sound all spanish and it didn't come out right, her pronunciation of several of the words was just odd.
Ben - I'm sorry, I didn't get it. He over-growled half the song and just made it sound terrible. I didn't like it at all.
McDonalds - I enjoyed their performance. It wasn't the greatest thing in the world but I enjoyed it. That's all I can say.
Leona - For me, the performance of the night. For the first time, I'm glad I pulled her in the work sweepstake. Absolutely brilliant, can't think of a single bad thing to say.
Kerry - She can sing, but she's too forgetable. And I know it'll be controversial, but she just can't perform anything she does because of her disability. A good singer but certainly does not have the X Factor.
Ashley - He had serious tuning problems even before fluffing the words. The very last bit was very good, but that was the only good bit of the entire thing.
Robert - I found it dull. That is all.
Eton Road - I disagree with Simon completely, I didn't think it was a mess at all. The odd one needs to watch his tuning when he's doing his high pitch thing. I found it much less odd this week, but just as enjoyable.

I didn't give my thoughts on last weeks show. I thought Ben was superb doing a horrible drippy wet song into something so atmospheric. I don't care if it wasn't in big band style (as the themes are really annoying me now) - he put his stamp on it. Leona was a bit better than previously, but she's not singing naturally, and it's really annoying me. Eton Rd were yet again rubbish. Dionne didn't deserve to go, she sang brilliantly every week. Kerry has been rock solid, and also didn't deserve to be in the final 2. Ashley looked as though he couldn't have been bothered last week. How are the McD's still there?!
Some song choices for this week: Nikitta - "Dancing Queen" Leona - "Chiquitita" Ashley - "The Winner Takes It All" Ben - "S.O.S" Eton Road - "Does Your Mother Know?" The MacDonald Brothers - "Fernando"
I thought Ashley would go for that one, it should suit him very well. I can't believe Ben isn't doing Waterloo!! I predict Ray will do something cheesy like Thank You For The Music (in swing style lol). Robert, I Have A Dream perhaps?
