Why do so many old tracks make your chart? 1 or 2 would be ok, but when it is so many, it tends to look a bit odd, we all like the odd classic, but aren't there more new songs you'd like in your chart instead?

I tend to listen to a wide variety of stuff rather than just listening to current material. Sometimes its because I have picked up an old album in a second hand shop or I have maybe heard a track on the radio which I haven't heard in a while (such as the Lloyd Cole stuff on recent charts where I heard Lost Weekend and afterwards I dug out the Easy Pieces album). There are lots of reasons. This weeks no 1 single came about because someone sent me an MP3 of it this week to add to my collection of UK no 1s - I'm aiming to get them all and burn a series of CDs with the lot and this was one I had been having particular difficulty getting hold of though I have it on 7" and 12" vinyl.
