It's the first (and hopefully last) December Hamster Hits chart! Honestly, December is such a crap month for music. Most of the singles in the chart were released in the first week of the month. Since then, there's hardly been anything good and there's nothing good scheduled for Boxing Day so I thought I might as well do it early. The Nizlopi song's OK but in a normal month it wouldn't be anywhere near the top 10. Hilariously, despite it being such a weak month, Hard-Fi fail to chart.
1. Ladyfuzz - Monster *DEBUT - 1ST NUMBER ONE* 2. Strokes - Juicebox *EQUALS PEAK* 3. Franz Ferdinand - Walk Away 4. Subways - No Goodbyes 5. Coldplay - Talk *EQUALS PEAK* 6. Magnet - Fall At Your Feet *PEAK* 7. Guillemots - Trains To Brazil *DEBUT* 8. White Stripes - Walking With A Ghost *10TH HIT!* 9. Nizlopi - JCB *DEBUT* 10. Cribs - The Wrong Way To Be 11. Leya - On All My Sundays 12. Royksopp - What Else Is There? 13. Paul Weller - Here's The Good News *DEBUT* 14. Computerman - No More Broken Hearts *DEBUT* 15. Mystery Jets - Alas Agnes *DEBUT* 16. Where are the Pogues? I was going to mention that in my original post and forgot. I don't include old songs in my monthly or annual charts as I don't really like comparing songs from two completely different eras. Had it been included, it probably would have been top 3, at least. Therefore, the re-releases by the likes of Elvis, Bob Marley and Motorhead won't be considered for my end-of-year chart. The one exception to this rule was Brian Wilson's new version of Good Vibrations, released last year. I included that in my end-of-year chart, as it was a new recording.

That seems fair enough... how come White Stripes are in, with what I thought was a US-only EP?

That seems fair enough... how come White Stripes are in, with what I thought was a US-only EP? Well it's #138 in this week's singles chart so there must be some copies over here.

By the way, the Water Babies song is the one on the current Vodafone advert.

Ooh, that one's semi-decent... and I'll add the White Stripes one. Where do you find out about positions of songs between #76 and #200?
