I didn't! It was my favourite Bjork album for ages before I saw the errors of my ways about Vespertine. I mean how can people not rate the amazing second side of Debut! The Anchor Song, Play Dead, One Day, Come to Me and Violently Happy are all amazing...

Mind you despite loving Vespertine - I still think Cocoon is atrocious noise i wouldn't call it noise but i don't think it should've been a single eventhough we got a lovely video to make up for this

That was so weird. It's Not Up to You should easily have been the first or at least second single from it. Did she WANT the album to flop or something?

That was so weird. It's Not Up to You should easily have been the first or at least second single from it. i don't think it was ever meant to be a big singles album but "hidden place" wasn't a good lead-off single imo. she should've chosen for "pagan poetry" or "it's not upto you". i think "it's not upto you" was even planned as 4th single cause she performed it live on a known tv show (don't know which one). she tends to release quite a lot of single out of her albums, so it surprised me she released (only) 3 singles out of "vespertine" eventhough the album wasn't filled with catchy choruses. if i was her record company i'd choose these songs as singles: pagan poetry it's not upto you unison (a radio edit of course).
