Inspiral Carpets were very good, have an album of theors somewhere, revenge of the goldfish, tis very listenable... Hope you dont mind me putting in my tuppenceworth Inspirals are my fave I have to say. Really excited as going to see them in oldham in June!! Dug out my cool as **** T shirt and everything! Anyhow "cool as" would be a great best of for you Andy. IMO they are/were a very under rated band. Best tracks bitches brew, biggest mountain and sackville. All class though. Other faves are Paris Angels, Charlatons, Pulps different class was just that Excellent, northside. Does anyone remember Marion? I vaguely remeber seeing tham at T in the Park?

I was never really into them, 'All Change' was okay as I remember but probably only listened to it twice. I could never stand 'Walkaway' 'Slight Return' by the Bluetones still gives me goosebumps, probably one of the best pieces of British music in the 90s.

The Bluetones: A Rough Outline came out about a month ago, which had every A Side and B Side. Tis a fantastic best of. They're still going strong, just signed a new record deal
It's sad many of the bands who couldn't break the Premeir League of Britpop (Blur, Oasis, pulp, Suede, Supergrass) faded away, eg Sleeper, Kula Shaker (though recently reformed) Powder, 60ft Dolls, Cast, Shed Seven, Elastica, These Animal men, Gene, Mansun and Menswe@r. Britpop is easily my fave musical era

Premier League of Britpop LOL! Nice analogy. Even sadder is that most members of the Premier League have already started fading away as well.
