Ok so I've managed to put this on the computer and onto CD. I'll be counting it down in true Bruno style over the next few days . I know its in the wrong section but I wanted some of the newer posters to see it, plus it'll have some chart and sales info. I'l post info from the show, plus various anecdotes too. Hope someone else appreciates this but me lol!

Forgot to mention I listened to it in Taunton where I was staying on holiday, and because it fitted in with the 1994 sales data thats been posted recently.

No 1 HNE Brand New Heavies - Brother Sister, Bruno played Back To Love (I knew I'd heard this on the chart before! Before what? I vaguely remember hearing it on the chart although I wasnt sure I heard the song when it entered on the Top 40 itself. Thats what I meant, sorry for the confusion!

Thought I may as well start this now. Forgot to mention last week's No 1 was Take That - Everything Changes. Here we go starting off with a new entry at #40 Gin Blossoms - Found Out About You Of course this was in the days when the first 15 mins were actually filled with relevant stuff

And EYC fall 2 with The Way You Work It and thats next at #38 Got to say I thought this band was hugely underrated, how on earth they didnt make the Top 10 with this I'll never know, only reaching #14. The followup "Number One" which I liked just as much didnt even make the Top 20!

This could be interesting, and an easy way to rack up 40 posts at a time

I've got this in a folder somewhere. I used to listen to and write down the top 40 every week from late 1993 until early 2000, when the chart became unbearably bad.

Surprisingly I never did that, though there have been times when I wished I had! The only times I remember writing the chart down were in 1997 the week before Diana died. And 2001 when I listened to the chart for the first time in months as I was bored. I only really listend to it from 1990-1995 with the odd show from 96 onwards as I got more into sport lol! Then I decided it would be nice to get some old shows with some songs that I wanted on them, which led to receiveing shows from a couple of ppl and hey presto here we are. The ones I've got recently from 1993 and 1994 were from a poster on CC who very kindly sent them on DVD to me. I've only managed to put a few on the computer here, but I've wanted to post at least a few up for a while. Incidentally I wont post for every single song, but it will probably be 40 with an extra post or 2 at the end, Sim doesnt miss a trick Thanks for the interest too btw

Continuing with the chart (for a while) down 19 go the Little Angels, Ten Miles High at #37. Then 2 songs played back to back 36 Cranberries Linger - This song was a real grower it spent weeks inside the Top 20 without reaching the Top 10, and it took a while to grow on me too. It was probably one of the songs I remember best from this week. One of those classic dreamy songs that bring back specific memories of where you were when you heard them 35 Bon Jovi - Dry County - Proving that Bruno played the songs in full this was 6 and a half minutes long!

Time to break for the news, coming up Worlds Apart! The news was 10 mins late, and the tone in the newsreaders voice when he said "The next SCHEDULED news is at 8.30 on the dot" was classic, giving Bruno a chuckle! A couple of stories, in the 4th Test between England and the West Indies, the West Indies are closing on England's 1st innings total of 355, they're 245-8. And with half an hour to go in the FA Cup semi-final its Manchester United 0 Oldham 0 Anyway back to the chart here's Worlds Apart at #34

Yes that was Worlds Apart falling 12 to #34 with Could It Be I'm Falling In Love Trailer for Kirsty MacColl's show after the chart RIP Kirsty followed by Roxette - Sleeping In My Car at #33. I always thought this song suffered from being overplayed, even now it feels that way and I havent heard it for ages! Shame as it deserved to be Top 10 imo, even though I got bored of it quickly

I used to copy down the entire top 40 as well, back in 1995-96. That was when my local public library got the internet and several public access computers. So I was in there every Monday, notebook in hand, to check out dotmusic and copy down the latest chart.
