This will be played on Pick Of The Pops on Radio 2 this Sunday, 19th at 2.30 pm. They start with some new releases and climbers outside the top 20, count down the top 10 albums and play most of the top 20 then. My guess is they'll miss out Judge Dread as it's rather rude. Sunday 26th it's 1981. 1 3 Stylistics I Can't Give You Anything (But My Love) 2 1 Typically Tropical Barbados 3 4 Smokey If You Think You Know How To Love Me 4 2 Bay City Rollers Give A Little Love 5 14 Roger Whittaker The Last Farewell 6 5 Bee Gees Jive Talkin' 7 8 Sensational Alex Harvey Band Delilah 8 13 George McCrae It's Been So Long 9 6 Linda Lewis It's In His Kiss 10 12 Adrian Baker Sherry 11 16 Billie Jo Spears Blanket On The Ground 12 7 Bryan Hyland Sealed With A Kiss 13 18 Moments Dolly My Love 14 10 Johnny Nash Tears On My Pillow 15 24 Linda Carr & The Love Squad Highwire 16 9 Judge Dread Je T'Aime 17 15 T.Rex New York City 18 11 David Cassidy I Write The Songs/Get It Up For Love 19 26 Bimbo Jet El Bimbo 20 30 Gladys Knight & The Pips Best Thing That Ever Happened

Thanks for this.I don't know that many from there, but the no.1 song, Cant give you anything, is such a good solid pop song.Thomas Anders from Modern Talking covered it in the early 90s. The Roger Whttaker song is also a true classic, i downloaded it just the other day for my mom!

You could listen to POTP on line surely. Great show with an old chart every week. They alternate with 60's, 70's and 80's.

I must be getting old. There are only two songs on there (nos 15 and 19) which I don't remember.

That's nothing as I remember them all. Can you hum the two I don't know? Well El Bimbo was an instrumental as far as I can remember. I was 15 and we were on holiday in the Isle Of Man but had my little transistor radio!

I remember it now . The summer eurodisco hit of 1975. I did an exchange trip with an Austrian boy that summer so I was probably in Vienna (this means nothing to me) at the time of this chart.

Which reminds me i should dig that out. Also going to search for Stylistics I can't give you anything, perfect song to warm up this cold Cape Town winters day!

Similarly, it's impossible to go down Baker Street without having a certain sax solo go through your head.

''Stylistics I Can't Give You Anything (But My Love)'' I LOVE that song, but I'm much more familiar with the cover version by hunksome boyband OTT,which was a top 10 hit over here.
