It didn't know that Rah Band hits in the 70s as well.I still love Clouds across the moon, such a sad song. The lovely Rita Coolidge, one of the finest female voices ever! The Carly Simon's song is great.

The ONLY song I know there is the Carly Simon one !
I liked Deniece Williams but don't know the song in that chart.
Never heard of 'Down Deep Inside' by Donna Summer either !! I have a couple of her Greatest Hits albums and that song isn't on either one, which is a bit odd seeing as it was a top 5 hit .

Wonder if the Deniece song is the same one that was recorded in the 80's by Dionne Warwick and others.

I don't remember a Dionne Warwick song by that name either haha. hmmm..does that show my age? If i sing it to you, you will remember it clearly. It's one of those songs that's featured on every second "Love" or "Greatest love" or "Best Love" compilation ever released.

It was the theme from the film The Deep. If my memory serves me correctly it was on a different label so that's why it never appears on any of her greatest hits collections.

Yes something like that, not a huge block-buster though.

If i was in the UK now, it would've been great to have listened to this chart and hear songs for the first time ever even though the are 30 years old!

Just started now. They play a few new entries from 40 to 21 first, then spend 30 minutes on the top 10 albums, then play most, but not all, of the top 20 singles. Can't you listen to BBC Radio 2 online? It's also on "listen again" for 7 days from later today.

Smurfie told me that too, but when i tried they told me the BBC service are only available if you are in the UK?Maybe there's another way?

I know every song in that chart. Mine wasn't too dissimilar. The Boomtown Rats eventually would reach NM #1 with their debut hit.
The Deniece Williams song goes something like "are you tired, do you think that you would like to lay, by the fire, I would hold you gently in my lap.." and is different from Dionne Warwick & Friends.
Nights On Broadway was a cover of the Bee Gees song though. And We're All Alone was a cover of Boz Scaggs. Which later cleared up my dilemma because I was certain I'd heard the song a few months back with a man singing it, and later found it I probably had heard the original.
The Rods were usually known as Eddie & The Hotrods but were known as just the Rods for this single, which was their biggest hit.
Thin Lizzy's "Dancin' In The Moonlight" was subtitled "you've caught me in a spotlight" and was not the same song that Toploader made famous, which was a cover of a 70s song but by King Harvest, not Thin Lizzy.
