4. Limahl : "The Never Ending Story"/8Good pop song and i loved the movie.
5. Nick Heyward : "Warning Sign"/9His best song ever recorded and very different to his usual style.
11. Julian Lennon : "Too Late For Goodbyes"/7I think it was meant to be a tribute to his dad.
13. Thompson Twins : "Doctor! Doctor!"/9 One fo my favourate groups from the 80s.
15. The Kane Gang : "Respect Yourself"/6
16. Tina Turner : "Private Dancer"/8Still her best album to me, great song.

Farewell my summer love wasn't exactly a masterpiece was it?Didn't it come from some "lost" recordings of MJ?It should've stayed lost imo.
War song is where Culture Club started to lose the plot for me!I read somewhere Boy George defended it sort of flopping in America is because America likes making wars, that's why they didn't like the song there!!What about it's an irritating waste of vinyl, Boy??

Very good year so I'll narrow it down to my Top 5!

1. Nik Kershaw : "Human Racing" (my ultimate Nik track - initially sounds a bit too dark and melancholic but really it's a delicious gem)

2. Culture Club : "The War Song" (I was a big fan of Culture Club and once again this was my fave song by them as a kid at the tender age of 8. I used to sing it on the way to school to my Mum?!?! She must've thought I was a loon )

3. Rockwell : "Somebody's Watching Me" (funky track - what a classic)

4. Giorgio Moroder & Philip Oakey : "Together In Electric Dreams" (awww you gotta love this really, captures the era so well)

5. Tina Turner : "Private Dancer" (she had some solid hits - what a comeback!)

Agree on Tina Turner, i loved Let's stay together from the moment i first heard it, and i still do.The extended album mix is awesome, still my favourate track of hers!

Heaven 17 were one of my fav electronic 80s bands, though I never thought Sunset Now was one of their better songs.

Funnily enough as much as i like Nik Kershaw, i also don't know this song and i agree on Heaven 17.
