My first year in high school! What memories!
2 George Harrison Got My Mind Set On You (many a fun schoolbus journey with this blasting) 3 Rick Astley Whenever You Need Somebody (big fan of Mr Astley back in the day... not his best though) 4 The Bee Gees You Win Again (what a comeback - rip roaring song) 5 The Communards Never Can Say Goodbye 6 George Michael Faith 7 Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes (I've Had) The Time Of My Life (who didn't buy the soundtrack??? lol) 9 Bananarama Love In The First Degree 11 Whitney Houston So Emotional (Whitney WAS the 80s for me) 12 Alexander O'Neal Criticize (still love this to this day) 18 Billy Idol Mony Mony (another good comeback) 24 Donna Summer Dinner With Gershwin 32 Kiss Crazy Crazy Nights (my brother was a heavy metal junkie so a lot of it rubbed off on me - not that this was that heavy)

I think Whenever you need somebody is one of Rick Astley and Stock Aitken Waterman's best songs ever, i still listen to it, the 12" mix is great. Dinner with Gershwin is defintely in my Top 5 best Donna Summer songs, well sung, good melody and brilliant production.

OK, i didn't buy the Dirty Dancing Soundtrack and i have to confess i have never even watched the movie!! Not sure if the movie's stood the test of time as I haven't seen it in decades. The soundtrack was good if you liked the 60s throwback sound of the late 80s. Stuff like "She's Like The Wind" is a bit naff though.

Isn't Hungry Eyes-Eric Carmen from there as well?I far prefer Never gonna fall in love again and All by myself from him. Somehow i don't think the movie would appeal to me anyway. Some girls i know must have watched it at least 20 times over.

I can safely say I have never seen Dirty Dancing. Or in fact have any inclination to.

There are two of us then! I was much more of an Indiana Jones fan in the 80s, i must have seen each of them at least 3 times.
