1999... what a fun packed year! Some great ones on here... and some atrocious ones too.
6 (NE) Another Level - Bomb Diggy (happy times - their best) 10 (NE) Savage Garden - I Knew I Loved You (gorgeous - listened to this over and over) 13 (5) Mariah Carey - Heartbreaker (yes it sounded like Fantasy part 2 but I really loved this / great vid too) 24 (14) Destinys Child - Bug A Boo (their 2nd album defined the year for me) 29 (20) Britney Spears - (You Drive Me) Crazy (her finest hour, and I hate Britney) 31 (22) Onephatdeeva - In And Out Of My Life (got the clubs going... fab!) 33 (13) B*Witched - Jesse Hold On (okay so I bought and loved this) 34 (24) Jordan Knight - Give It To You (what a comeback, shame it didn't last) 40 (36) Gabrielle - Sunshine (love the lyrics especially the verses) 62 (48) Shaft - (Mucho Mambo) Sway
ps: The Honeyz were quite good but didn't like the song on this chart.

I bought the following: 1 (NE) Geri Halliwell - Lift Me Up 2 (NE) Tin Tin Out ft Emma Bunton - What I Am 3 (1) Five - Keep On Movin' 6 (NE) Another Level - Bomb Diggy 7 (7) Macy Gray - I Try 9 (3) Christina Aguilera - Genie In A Bottle 10 (NE) Savage Garden - I Knew I Loved You 13 (5) Mariah Carey - Heartbreaker 15 (NE) Planet Perfecto - Bullet In The Gun 17 (10) Backstreet Boys - Larger Than Life 19 (18) Shania Twain - Man I Feel Like A Woman 27 (16) Steps - After The Love Has Gone 29 (20) Britney Spears - (You Drive Me) Crazy 31 (22) Onephatdeeva - In And Out Of My Life 32 (27) S Club 7 - S Club Party 33 (13) B*Witched - Jesse Hold On 40 (36) Gabrielle - Sunshine 41 (26) Shola Ama - Still Believe 44 (29) Scooch - When My Baby 47 (21) Cher - Dov'e L'amore 53 (41) Eurythmics - I Saved The World Today 57 (47) Adam Rickett - Everything My Heart Desires 61 (56) Geri Halliwell - Mi Chico Latino 62 (48) Shaft - (Mucho Mambo) Sway 64 (RE) Melanie C - Goin' Down 1999 was the year for Britney, Steps and Christina for me! After the Spice Girls split I tried to keep up with the solo singles purchases, but then I couldn't be bothered and gave up after Mel B brought out her awful album

Steps were great - well they were hit and miss for me... I either absolutely loved a song or completely hated it. There was never any middle ground. I did buy their first two albums though. I think it's Britney's voice I hate more than anything. I also bought "Sometimes" that year - so she had two finest hours for me. I liked Shaft - Sway too but didn't list it as I got sidetracked by the awful versions by PussyCatDolls etc. Now I've listened to it again I'll add it to my "likes".

Whoops! It's actually supposed to be Jump N Shout! LOVED JUmp n Shout!!! Basement Jaxx have always remained consistent for a dance act. Pure quality. 20 (9) Diana Ross - Not Over Yet The Metro single mix is my favourate Diana Ross song of all time! Pure class. Shouldn't this read "Not Over YOU Yet"? I liked this too - so many songs I forgot over the years. The mixes were great. I also remember thinking the song lyrics were "It's not a reunion".

What a faaaaabulous chart ! 1 (NE) Geri Halliwell - Lift Me Up ( the BEST song topped the chart . Yay !) 8 (4) Westlife - Flying Without Wings (heard it too many times on radio and got a bit sick of it,but I loved it when it was new). 5 (NE) Jennifer Lopez - Waiting For Tonight ( I bought her album after this. The first two singles were amazing but the album was so boring). 10 (NE) Savage Garden - I Knew I Loved You ( Just GORGEOUS - the song AND Darren). 19 (18) Shania Twain - Man I Feel Like A Woman 20 (9) Diana Ross - Not Over Yet 23 (19) Tina Turner - When The Heartache Is Over 27 (16) Steps - After The Love Has Gone 30 (NE) Madison Avenue - Don't Call Me Baby ( kind of a crap voice but the song is very catchy) 32 (27) S Club 7 - S Club Party 33 (13) B*Witched - Jesse Hold On ( They were fab and should have lasted longer ,for another album at least !!) 40 (36) Gabrielle - Sunshine 44 (29) Scooch - When My Baby (Eurovish legends of the future) 45 (30) Honeyz - Never Let You Down ( my fav' Honeyz song) 47 (21) Cher - Dov'e L'amore 57 (47) Adam Rickett - Everything My Heart Desires (Smurfie - I bought this too - he look like a Mannequin on the cover.I even bought his album from a bargain bin and it's actually pretty good) 61 (56) Geri Halliwell - Mi Chico Latino ( LOVE this and the video is sensational) 66 (69) Thunderbugs - Friends Forever (we'll be ...like Thelma And Louise.lol) 70 (NE) Garth Brooks - Lost In You ( using his Chris Gaines voice.Sounds nothing like him but is still lovely ,as is the Westlife cover.I won the Garth single in a postal comp ) 71 (57) Martine McCutcheon - I've Got You (I don't like her,but I love her voice and some of her songs are pretty good.I'd rather listen to her when she was in Milan though - they were fab).

33 (13) B*Witched - Jesse Hold On ( They were fab and should have lasted longer ,for another album at least !!) Oh, I loved B*Witched as well. They were FUN! I would have quite happily bought a third album! From Wiki: "In May 2007, Keavy Lynch suggested that the group are to fully reform after the former members were approached to join reforming Steps, Nsync, S Club 7, Atomic Kitten and the Vengaboys for a one off gig named The Battle of the Pop Bands."How fabulous would THAT be?? However, the quote is from Wikipedia, so no doubt it is unconfirmed rubbish.

Oh I'd LOVE that to be true.Sounds TOO good to be true though Atomic Kitten are still performing together (YAY !!) and have recorded a cover of 'Anyone Who Had A Heart' for a compilation album of covers by Liverpudlians ,of songs that were number one for Liverpudlians.Or something.Sonia has done a track too.I forget who else as they were the only ones that interest me. B*witched - I'd love them to reuinite but I can't see it happening. The twins have been performing as a duo (as 'Keavy & Edel') - singing their new stuff as well as B*witched old hits. They've been pictured with Lindsay (i think she was at their gig ?) There was a newspaper interview witht he twins about a month ago and one of them (I don't know which is which) said that Sinead won't speak to her.It was all a bit vague ,but word had gotten back to Sinead that a twin had said something bitchy about her (which she denies having said,or that the quote was twisted another way) and there's been frostiness between them ever since. Oh well. (L-R) Courtney and Cox : Wot no denim ?!

Your pic didn't work. How about this: "Hoiya, we're B*witched, and we're out shopping!" My love for them may warrant it's own thread!
