What do you guys think of a listing of your favourate songs from the 80s, say a Top 100? And then Smurfie (if you agree to it Stu! ) can compile the ultimate Haven Retro Top 100 songs of the 80s?? Each song with a bit of commentry to make it a bit interesting. Isn't it the love of music that bring us here in the first place?Tell me what you think.Even though i don't remember that much of the music of say 1980 0r 1981 i do have some favourates from that era that i've discovered later on!

Wow a list of 100 80s songs? I wouldn't know where to start or stop. I could do a Top 20 80s albums I suppose, but 100 songs seems like a mighty big task, especially if you start talking albums tracks. Or am I just being a big whinger... haha!

I don't think we could include album tracks but even with just singles it would be an almost impossible task. The spread would be too wide. There would have to be some limits set or you could end up with hundreds of songs with a single vote.

OK, maybe we should narrow it down to UK Top 50 hits? Polyhex can quicly tell one the chart position. In other words, no album tracks or b-sides or smaller hits and misses.

Sisters of Mercy – This corrosion Sisters of Mercy – Lucretia That Petrol Emotion – Big decision The The – Infected Voice of the Beehive – I say nothing Voice of the Beehive – I walk the earth Wedding Present – Kennedy ZZ Top – Gimme some lovin’

Holy moly Jan! You don't half set some tasks! I'll have a good think on this one, I don't think this is going to be a five minute job. Wedding Present – Kennedy Oooh, Kennedy. I love this song!

OK, Stu maybe i wont do it to you, maybe we can all just do a Top 100 or so with a couple of comments with the songs to make it interesting! Mine will take a week or two to do anyway, but it will be fun! I'm here to talk music anyway, nothing beats good old retro sounds.

I'm struggling at this task already. I've got 60 so far, and I have just finished the 7 inch vinyl ones, let alone 12 inch, cassette and CD ones I have.

It will be fun though and will give us a bit of an insight into what defines the fellow Haveners! Can't wait! I should have my list ready by the end of next week.
