I loved "When The Lights Go Out". They looked promising back then, but I'm afraid singles like Slam Dunk and Got The Feelin put that on hold. I did like "Let's Dance", so they ended on a high. The one that rapped ruined a few songs for them too, in particular Keep On Movin lol.

I was given a copy of the Greatest Hits yesterday, and listened to it late last night (hence the thread).
I think out of all of them:
If Ya Getting Down Keep On Moving Lets Dance When The Lights Go Out Don't Wanna Let You Go
....would be my favourite ones.
I do agree with Meister about the (sometimes really awful) rapping in some of the songs. But on the whole they were a pretty good boy band.
Which was the one that went out with Bille Piper? Was it Ritchie Neville?

Oh I loved Jay... as for the songs they were a bit meh apart from 'When the Lights Go Out', 'Let's Dance' and 'If Ya Getting Down'. But stuff like the cover of 'We will rock you' and 'Everybody get up' were just horrid.

Keep On Moving was by far their best song, but besides teaching teenagers how to count to five, I can't see that they made a profound impact on the music scene

When the lights go it was great but Let's dance still sounds great and is by far my favourate song from them.Didn't care much for their other singles though.

They were quite a laugh, one 'boy band' I feel it was okay for guys to like. Did the band ever put their name down as '5ive' though?

Did the band ever put their name down as '5ive' though? Hmmm, not sure. I think they might have done originally Flop comeback last year though!

I only (sort of) know ONE of their songs. *** goes to look at tracklisting of 'G-A'Y' compilation cd where they're listed as '5ive'***
Uhm it's 'Keep On Movin'.I can't remember it off the top of my head, but if I played it (not about to) it would come back to me. Ooh (spots them on another compilation as 'Five') - 'Until The Time Is Through'.I don't remember that one at all.
I kinda remember one of them had a solo hit(s) with a horrid Richard Blackwood type rap effort.

I actually quite liked What You Got as well. Stop Sign was pretty bad. I don't think the others even released anything, did they?

I only got to know that song earlier this year as a buddy of mine has the cd single and i saw an Almighty mix listed and liked it on first spin.

There was in fact a third single from Abs - "Miss Perfect". It went Top 10, but his album, Abstract Theory, didn't really do an awful lot, so was no doubt dropped as a result.
They did (as a bad) demo some new material as Five on their Myspace, but nothing else really materialised after that. Which is probably a good thing, as what I heard sounded awful.
