Carrying on listening to old tapes and this was one I was looking forward to I doubt anyone else has heard of them? Signed on Beggars Banquet, singer has quite a unique voice, think the 1st track Away was a single, which made me buy the album? It is actually very good, and has aged well to say it is from 1986! I'm off to google them and see what happened.

Oh my, they still seem to be going in some form, or rather Trevor Tanner is! This was the tracklisting on the album, Books on the Bonfire was good as well, didn't like Waspy, but sure there's a hidden track after that which is ok. Tracks Side A. 1. Away - 4:58 2. Modern Man - 5:35 3. Someones Daughter - 4:04 4. Sunday Morning - 6:32 5. Looking for a Life - 4:44 Side B. 1. Romeo in Clover (Call Girls) - 5:35 2. Books on the Bonfire - 4:58 3. Pardon Me - 4:34 4. Fat and Jealous - 4:06 5. Waspy - 5:11 Link to the website www.thebolshoi.co.uk/

Sorry, I've not heard of The Bolshoi either. I will go and have a look on their Myspace to see if anything rings any bells.

So I'm not the only one who's heard of them. I got into them through a friend back in the late 80's when I was first discovering music.
Their only album I ever bought was "Lindy's Party". My favorite song on it was called "TV Man". It had a chorus that went One, two, three, Hail TV. Watching Dirty Harry made a man of me. There were some other good songs on it as well. I'm not sure about the "Friends" album. I remember my friend had a copy of it but said it wasn't as good. Just visited their myspace page... the song Happy Boy must have come from that album... I know I've heard it before.
I wonder if they ever managed to crack the top 200 with any single or album...
