oh my! someone has excellent taste ;D after an extended break, it's time to press on with the top 150... 141 dead leaves and the dirty ground - the white stripes 142 how to disappear completely - radiohead 143 name - goo goo dolls 144 weeping willow - the verve 145 fields of gold - sting 146 don't panic - coldplay 147 private universe - crowded house 148 london calling - the clash 149 remmus - hundred reasons 150 so far away - dire straits with crowded house, dire straits and sting all featuring - and with more tom petty to come - this can only be known as the dadrock group ;D well, my dad has good taste! mostly he has even shown his appreciation for the white stripes, who top the group with the first of two excellent songs from white blood cells - working out the other one shouldn't be too challenging the clash record their highest entry in my chart here, and hundred reasons plummet...

131 bones - radiohead 132 am i wry? no - mew 133 buck rogers - feeder 134 angel interceptor - ash 135 weather with you - crowded house 136 dreaming of you - the coral 137 i'll find you - hundred reasons 138 panic - the smiths 139 when i argue i see shapes - idlewild 140 coming around - travis many songs i wanted in my top 100 here - crowded house, who have just had two songs in pretty close succession, hundred reasons and travis have been luckier in the past - but radiohead, sadly, miss by a mile at least they are one of the most prolific bands in this chart, so they'll more than make up for it mew have a fairly high first entry, while the infamous SHAPES! becomes idlewild's fourth entry so far...

and, at long last, here's the next lot... 121 five kids go - hell is for heroes 122 vanilla radio - the wildhearts 123 free fallin' - tom petty 124 don't come around here no more - tom petty 125 hymn from a village - james 126 any day now - elbow 127 street spirit (fade out) - radiohead 128 new born - muse 129 black balloon - goo goo dolls 130 that's entertainment - the jam the tom petty songs were virtually inseparable - don't come around here no more, phunky sitars and all, loses out due the oddness of the ending the lyrical brilliance of james takes them to 125, while a radiohead anthem falls, partly due to a large influx of more radiohead songs higher up the wildhearts nearly top the group with a shock new entry, but are just beaten by the nu-metal awesomeness that is hell is for heroes ;D

*dices with death to post next instalment* my taxi will be here VERY soon... 111 when the faction's fractioned - biffy clyro 112 let down - radiohead 113 fugitive motel - elbow 114 why does it always rain on me? - travis 115 just the way i'm feeling - feeder 116 velvet morning - the verve 117 at my most beautiful - rem 118 sometimes - james 119 maps - yeah yeah yeahs 120 half the lies you tell ain't true - stereophonics biffy clyro top another group with one of their strangest, but most innovative songs, while yeah yeah yeahs, a band i usually HATE, do shockingly well with their one good song a new entry for elbow at 113, while the verve register the biggest fall seen so far - this song used to be in the top 30! perhaps it's because i don't relate to the lyrics quite as much as i used to now if you'll excuse me, i've a plane to catch! ;D
