So anyone got a chance to hear this yet? Caught it as a newie on mtv2 last night, only pricked up my ears and eyes as Alex Kapronos was dressed in his school uniform in a cartoon book singing, then 2 rappers started rapping away...then Alex sang a bit more. Quite good, I like it, the contrats between Alex's laid back vocals and the rapping is stark, but still ok. So can anyone tell me who the 2 rappers are, and who's idea it all is, Alex has kept it quiet;) Now just need to hear the new FF song and the one they played on Frank Skinner;)

yep heard it four times and the last time, it stuck. I Love it now, will be a late contender for my chart now but more likely a bubbler.
They collaborate with lots of people on the album, its been Zane lowe's album of the week on R1.

Just had a listen on the Zane Lowe show, reminds me a bit of early Gorillaz stuff, that same plodding beat and talking lyrics, just a little...not as funky as the gorillaz remixes though;)

Handsome Boy Modeling School is the pet project of Dan "The Automator" Nakamura and Prince Paul... both legendary hip-hop and alternative producers... Automator was also behind the Gorillaz project with Damon Albarn and Kid Koala, hence the similarity... check out 1998's HBMS debut "So... How's Your Girl?" ... superb album, and a whole lot better than the new one... the concept behind both is just collaborations with people across the musical spectrum... Automator is also rumoured to be working on the new Franz Ferdinand album, hence Alex featuring on this track...
the rapper on "The World's Gone Mad" is Del Tha Funkee Homosapien (one of the best rappers of all time who has worked on the Gorillaz project, Deltron 3030 and Hieroglyphics)... it also features singer Barrington Levy...
The song is pretty flaccid, imo...

3 feet high and rising is produced by Prince Paul. I love that but I'm not sure about this one atm
