still have to say I'm pretty impressed with these boards. You of course talk about all the obvious bands but a lot of my 'just under the radar' bands you also have discussed.

yeah, i like that too... it doesn't happen as much here as it does other places - but a lot of us (not me, though have their fingers on the pulse of cool new music and help keep indie fans posting here

Thanks for all the positive comments Nice to hear, and no probs bumping old threads, if there's a band/song you wanna chat about look for an old thread and bump it, or start a new thread, neither is a problem here Great to see the place buzzing with new replies and threads. And we do have a great mix of the obvious indie bands as well as the ones under the radar as you say...I thank mtv2 and 120 minutes for that along with The Amp! Long may it continue! You are a great addition, Indieelectronica!

120 minutes was my life-line 15-19 when in Seattle surrounded by nothing but Grunge What's The Amp? As stated before I've pretty much given up on any Radio (except some internet stations, including mine of course) and all TV (though I'll occasionally watch something or other - like last night I watched the Chelsea game, but on mute with music on of course! ) I read a few mags (The Fly is best Indie Mag there is. Period) and get news from internet. Not a recluse mind you, I just hate those the way TV and Radio plays what the money tells them to play...

*taking an essay break* the amp is one of the better indie/rock music tv channels available at the moment. it's ok, but you get a lot of repetition. that said, i haven't had access to any form of music television for about half a year now i hear music on xfm and at clubs, but a lot of my knowledge of new stuff is owed to the lovely people on here who keep bringing it to general attention

120 minutes was my life-line 15-19 when in Seattle surrounded by nothing but Grunge likewise... i "discovered" some excellent artists through the show... i still have some shows i managed not to tape over if anyones up to trade i remember for a couple of years right after 120 Minutes, mtv would play a 1 hour-show called Amp where they played all electronica videos... i also have 1 fine ep. of this... i remember the first time i saw this with a friend and my brother... we we're just kind of hypnotized by the show... they had some of the most errr ... mind-bending videos

The best music video channels are MTV2 and VH2. I was listening to that radioblog site too this evening... very helpful for starting off my music catch up week
