'White Horse’ is one of those diverse records with wide appeal, an underground hit for Kinky Vinyl An underground hit for Kinky Vinyl at the end of last year, Data have picked up the mighty cool ‘White Horse’ by Wonderland Avenue for a full release in April. Not to be confused with the latest single from Goldfrapp, this track of the same name is a funky electronic take on Laidback’s ‘White Horse’. The backbone behind the Wonderland Avenue project is Harvey Dawson. Harvey records as ‘Trisco’ and had crossover success back in 2000 when the massive ‘Musak’ was signed to Positiva. Described as ‘groundbreaking’ by music press his talents were recognised by the masses leading to remixes for the likes of Kylie and Chemical Brothers. Fast forward to 2006 and after touring the world DJing he’s now concentrating the Wonderland Avenue project, a new music style reflecting the club night of the same name. ‘White Horse’ is one of those diverse records with wide appeal, already gaining support from the likes of Radio 1’s Annie Mac & Pete Tong (Essential New Tune) to DJ’s such as Sasha & John Digweed. Remix duties come courtesy of fellow Kinky Vinyl label mate and king of booty basslines Mike Monday. Plus brand new mixes from Superbass, aka Paul Harris (Dirty Vegas) & Jules Vern (Stretch & Vern/Reflekt) and JCA.
