A timeless slice of Balearic magic is set to explode once more for a new generation and is sure to warm of few hearts from yesteryear. Carl Kennedy and Johnny Gleeson are the Southside Hustlers and the maestros behind this cover of the Patti Day classic. Having done a sterling job retaining its essence for a new generation this is set to rock floors throughout the summer and beyond. British born Carl Kennedy, having made his name on the New York scene with his seminal GBH parties, has since established himself as a diverse and multi faceted DJ and producer. His talents have seen him travel the world and in the words of Mr Tong himself: ‘He is one of the best undiscovered DJs’. Partner in crime is Australian born Johnny Gleeson, one of the most prolific DJs in his native land having spearhead the house explosion in the 90s. Writing and producing as A.K.A. Jose for Casa Del Discos and Blue Tongue Records he was well warmed up for this collaboration. Together they have created the tough yet funky, tribal sound perfect for an updated classic. Stepping up to the mike is the sassy Abigail Bailey. Having received huge acclaim from her current work on the Subliminal track “Just Can’t Get Enough” this second instalment is set to cement her place in diva land. Naturally, this classic comes with some juicy mixes to get your teeth into. The Buzz chart topping duo Mark Knight & Martijn Ten Velden , Bini & Martini who are currently on fire in the studio, deliver two exceptional cuts whilst Dave Spoon toughens it up for the harder dancefloors. www.ministryofsound.com
