Pete Tong says this is the single of 2006! Radio 1 are all over it; so all that is left to say is that Same Man is a hit in the making!
‘Same Man’ by German duo Till West & DJ Delicious samples the New York Disco track of the same name taken from a classic B-side by early 80’s group the B Beat Girls. The more observant of you in the house will spot that the same sample was used in the Size 9 classic ‘I Am Ready’ but trust, it’s back, bigger than ever before.
When Pete Tong plays a record an enormous 11 times and makes it his essential new tune you know you have a massive record in your hands but it doesn’t stop there; Jo Whiley loved the record so much Radio 1 made her an edit which she spot played on her show without even being plugged!
If that wasn’t amazing National support, the single had already enjoyed an amazing amount of specialist support from some of the biggest players on the airwaves including Radio 1’s Zane Lowe, Annie Mac and Dave Pearce plus Kiss 100’s Steve Smart.
Top that off with some impressive regional support across the Emap and Galaxy Networks plus early playlist additions at Juice Liverpool and Galaxy Newcastle it is only a matter of time before Same Man becomes one of the biggest dance hits of 2006!
Till West & DJ Delicious are two long time friends who were introduced through German’s uber cool fashion scene, both producers had been heavily involved in the music scene. Through their shared passion of all thing electronic and fashion they were responsible for programming music at some of Cologne’s most fashionable clubs such as Funky Chicken, Apollo, Teatro and Tiefenrausch.
So it was only a matter of time before the duo headed for a studio and with the help of Phunkwerk’s Stefan Bossems the monster that is Same Man was born.
