So it seems like a loud "ENOUGH!" to the house music. Mark Brown & Marco Demark seem to be the last on the list. Now it's time to get back to garage, 2step and sub-genres of that kind. Hot on the heels of T2 "Heartbroken" success Radio 1 massively support H 'two' O "What It's Gonna Be", Delinquent "My Destiny" and a weird track by Benga & Coki. Will 2008 become a year of garage scene resurrection? What do you think?

I find it hard to dance to the Garage, 2 step etc. I prefer the good old House type beat, maybe i should leave dancing then rather to the professionals!! lol.

House is still living good days, even if with few production than past years Electro is a good genre nowadays and I follow mostly that genre as a DJ On thread, I hope trance will never revival It's the most un-comprehensive genre of commercial dance, and I must say as a DJ that I hate quite all the minimal but also the trance that seems like Goa xox.

It's just the way dance music works... underground scenes rise into the mainstream, people love it, then people get bored and it disappears back underground again.
The last few years have seen funky and electro house dominate mainstream dance music and they have become saturated with the same old crap. Time to move on I think, dont want electro to end up as despised as trance became after it was milked for all it was worth!
Techno/minimal is never gonna go mainstream, trance is dead so yeah, I agree, we seem to be on the verge of an 'urban' explosion in dance... garage/booty house/dubstep. Not necessarily a bad thing, we can still listen to what we like. And it's good for any genre to go back underground with people making it for the love of the music rather than the love of making a fast buck.

it's the 'urban' stuff i don't like much... it's just not 'intelligent' enough for my liking (yes - i know i'm painting a broad stroke with a brush but it's the best word i can use to descrbe).

i think UK will turn the way to garage/2step genre but european djs (esp. french & german) will keep producing popular plain house beats for their countries and after some time they will obviously hit the UK shores with a smash (like Basshunter did).

I really hope the French carry on making music as they have been, for me it's the most exciting place in the world musically at the moment.
