Welcome to this months FOOTBALL PREDICTA GAME Here are the rules: You have to predict whether you think ten games from the Premier'ship and Championship will be a Home Win (HW), Draw (D) or Away Win (AW). Once you have decided on your predicted outcome you must rank from 1-10 on how confident you are of this prediction. You will give a 10 for the prediction you are most confident with and 1 for the prediction you are least confident with. You must give 10 different rankings of 1 to 10. Each number between 1-10 can only be used ONCE. You will score 10 points for a correct prediction, this will then be multiplied by your confidence level. So 10 x 10= 100 points if you gave a 10 for that correct result. If you give the game a confidence level of 4, you’ll receive 10 x 4 = 40 points etc. If your prediction is incorrect you will lose 1 x your confidence level. Therefore, if you predicted a HW with a confidence level of 10 and you are incorrect you will lose 10 points. So points can be won and lost in each game! The game will be played on a monthly basis, with the winner being the person with the highest score at the end of each month. They will have the honour of appearing on the Roll of Honour. The games will be randomly selected from those played on a Saturday & Sunday only. If the rules sound complicated please feel free to ask me any questions or PM me directly. It will all make sense as the game begins! Monthly Roll of Honour

6 HW Aston Villa v Middlesbro I should remember always to place a "1" on Middlesbrough because you can never predict what they'll do. Even if they are away at Chelsea I cannot predict a 10 for them to lose.
7 HW Blackburn v West Brom It started so well this season for the baggies too - drawing at Man City then beating Pompey at home, but since then all they've managed is that last gasp draw at Sunderland. Oh, and stuffing my team in the Carling Cup. 70 for me here.
8 AW Fulham v Man Utd A dodgy penalty and an offside goal but as Van Nistelroy is in my Fantasy League time and I predicted an away win here, these refereeing decisions have helpd me on here. 80 points.
2 D Wigan v Bolton Did someone write off Wigan? They lost their first 2 games but they were against Chelsea and an in-form Charlton, and they were unlucky against Chelsea. When Paul Jewell was our manager and we got promoted we drew twice with Bolton and they ended up losing in the playoffs. So I thought a draw here too maybe but no, Wigan managed to win.
5 D Liverpool v Chelsea I'm not sure whether it's Chelsea who can't reproduce in Europe or Liverpool who can't reproduce in the league. Maybe both. Anyway Chelsea stuffed them this time.
10 HW Arsenal v Birmingham Needed an own goal with 9 minutes to go but then the song does go: 1 nil to the Arsenal. 100 points.
3 HW Derby v Leicester During Bradford's two seasons in the Premier there were only two teams we beat twice and these were they. They both went down the season after we did. Anyway, they drew 1-1.
9 HW Ipswich v Crewe Oh what a day it was in April 1999 when Crewe won 2-1 at Ipswich putting Bradford back into 2nd place. Still I didn't rate Crewe's chances this time. 90 points!
4 D Reading v Sheff Utd Difficult, 2nd vs 1st. I'd like to see both these teams get promoted. I always thought Reading were hard done by in 1995 because they finished 2nd in this division but only 1 automatic promotion that season. Sheff Utd have Stuart McCall as their assistant manager.
1 D Sheff Wed v Coventry Used to be two great Premiership sides. Coventry managed to scrape out of relegation every season, although in 1987 they finished safe and won the FA Cup beating Sheff Wed in the semi-final on the way. Sheff Wed may still go back down this season but they got a win here.
Oh well, I only got 4 right but they were the right 4 - my 10, 9, 8 and 7 predictions - so I get 319 anyway.
