Apparently, they are going to make a once off film of the show!! Like SATC they are going to make a blockbuster based on the show!! Jennifer Aniston was the one who wouldn't agree to it, but she has now said she will be Rachel again. They will start filming in 18 months.

I've read that. But then other sources have said it's completely untrue. I hope there is a film in the pipeline - i'm sure it would be a huge success.

Oh no, I think they should leave it. It was the perfect ending and the characters had really run their cause. Aniston has probably only agreed to it cause her films are always rubbish!!

Yes, leave it alone. By the end the show had already lost its edge and was no were near as funny during the earlier series'. I doubt it would be any good.

I know what you mean Morag but a part of me would love to see how their lives have turned out. Rachel and Ross together properly, Chandler and Monica with the kids, what Joey is doing and if he is living above Chandler and Monica's garage! lol And how Pheobe has settled into married life.

It would be nice to see Joey actually acknowledging the friends he lived and loved for TEN years instead of never mentioning them like he did for two awful seasons of "Joey" !!!

Do you think that might mean that Joey may go his own way in the film?

Maybe if they set it years after Friends ended and see Joey moving back to New York after not doing so well in LA? That might work.

Interesting I wonder if they will take into consideration the whole "Joey" thing or if they will ignore it ever happened and make their story for him.

I wouldnt go that far but will probably watch it, would prefer a proper episode with the characters rather than the actors reacting.

Just finished watching it. First of all, I'm glad Oprah wasn't the host (phew), but not a fan of James either. I just find him irritating. It should've been someone more classy. I feel like they had to cut a lot of things off from that special and maybe there will be more behind the scenes footage later on (hopefully).
It was an emotional rollercoaster. I laughed and cried, laughed and cried more.
Also I feel like they squeezed in some of the celebrities just to get better ratings (BTS, seriously?).
Liza Kudrow remains my favourite of the six.
Overall, I found it a bit messy and all over the place, but it felt like 1 minutes and 43 minutes passed by in 5 minutes. It could have been longer. HBO bothers to make a 4 hour documentary about alleged rumours about Michael Jackson, but not this?

I was looking forward to this but was disappointed to hear it was just a chat/interview instead of an actual episode. Also James Corden, why?! No thank you!
