Forest Green seem to survive in the BSP by pure luck every season by teams being expelled or going bust! That's Altrincham...

I'm sure Forest Green have survived twice as well

Mrh said this in the non league thread...
"Altrincham have escaped in each of the last 3 seasons. Forest Green were reprieved in 2005, and Northwich, Leigh and Farnborough were all reprieved in 2004."

Really! Is it the white elephant of a ground that's the problem? Or too high wages with too few supporters Is it 10 points off? Play offs gone, and down to mid table, Exeter will take their place...

Better to take the point deduction this season where they have no chance of being relegated, than next when they are more likely to drop out of the Football League. Exeter will take their place...

more likely to be their 25,500 seater stadium haha
last time i went they never had and mince or steak pies and the vending machines were empty. i know that won't make that much difference but every little helps and not stocking produce when there is a demand is just lazy.
the atmosphere at the ground is obviously shocking and it is a good half an hour outside the town with no real busses. they probably pull in less of a crowd than they did at feethams.
the last i heard was they were planning on knocking down one side of the stadium and building flats/offices!

Poor Darlington. I've always had a soft spot for them as I used to live there.
They've never recovered from George Reynolds totally messing them up, even though he's been gone a few years.

Notts County 3 Bradford City 1 - not surprisingly Peter Thorne was on the score sheet for Bradford but it didn't matter. Now, where's Mr Purple?

We haven't spent any money, all our players have come in on free transfers.
We had a good run of results and then Daley got injured against Darlington and we've crumbled, conceding 7 goals in 2 games whereas we'd kept a string of clean sheets in the run in to those games. We seem to have lots our confidence for now and now we're not even in a playoff spot.
As for Darlington, if they want to fill or at least half-fill their stadium perhaps they should do what we did and offer cheap season tickets.

Money on wages then, big earners should equal promotion...

Not sure our wages are that high actually. The only thing that we are getting is high attendances because of our good season ticket offers and other clubs should do the same.
In this division clubs will often have one or two key players that will win them games and keep them at the top and if those players get injured the club's form will drop. Happened last season with Chesterfield and Jack Lester. I guess the teams that go up are either those who are lucky and avoid injuries to their top players or those who are strong throughout their team or have enough decent backup.
